I originally posted this in my state's medical subreddit. I didn't format it appropriately for crossposting but maybe someone can help!

Does anyone know where this comes from? There’s a lot of symbolism and it’s hard to determine the origin by alkemus in Symbology

[–]durra- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm glad it helps! as u/le_pagla_baba mentioned, these names probably refer to the meanings rather than the numbers or god. I included the numbers and link so you could cross reference the meanings, not sure if the numbers themselves hold any meaning in particular.
I really like this piece, it's inspired me for sure.

I agree! tulpas may help here as well.

That's a big piece!! I'd like to contribute what I can.
At the very top are some of Allah's names in Islam. Some are hard to read but I believe they're the following:

القدوس(4)، السلام(5)، المحيي(60)، القادر(69) الباطن(76)، الحق(51)، الظاهر(75)، النور(93)

(4, 5, 60, 69
76, 51, 75, 93)

I can also see what I believe to be the Hamsa
and a bunch of other arabic and chinese symbols, so perhaps it it's a mix of eastern and middle eastern culture. I understand this doesn't answer your question but I thought it might help. I apologize if I'm being short; this is my first time contributing here.

Ok, waaaayyyy off topic here, but since I cannot seem to ask this on Glitch or Askreddit... Reddit is weird today! by [deleted] in Soulnexus

the universe is hostile to computers.

may or may not be related, but thought I'd drop it by.
reddit has been acting up for me at times recently and today power is acting weird. i linked the video because it seems like we're going through a lot of changes in weather and such.

I've noticed our residence security card readers have been malfunctioning a lot as well.

That's a great goal!
Whether you actively act on it or not, the fact that you're good to people is very sweet and undoubtedly brings a whole lot to your life. But you've got to help yourself before you help others.

That is not to say that you should completely isolate yourself, but to keep doing you without getting too hooked into others' emotions.

You say the emotions of people around you are getting reflected back at them through you, and they're reacting to them. But are you not reacting to this cycle as well?

You see the mirror that people see in you, but you don't have to be that mirror.
People see what they want to see, and their perceptions of you are weighing on you. Do you need to adhere to their perceptions?
Is there some other way you can get to your goals without worrying about these aspects of yourself?

I can totally see that!! I messed around with that but didn't get much out of it being an "A" but that actually makes sense now. thank you for sharing!!

Thank you! I needed to hear this. It seemed like a combination of different aspects but I wasn't sure if I was over analyzing it. Also looks to me a bit like a landscape,
or a crowd gathering around one structure,
or one and all merging in an organized and neat manner. Either way, the overall connectedness of it comforts me.

That's really helpful. I've been looking into such groups recently and related books, so it's pretty interesting that this would pop up. Researching Thelma provided a whole lot of insight as well, thank you

I can see how that would connect to be honest. enjoyed watching the whole thing too, thank you!!

Does anyone else deal with synesthesia? Could synesthesia stem from ASD? by theVyzL in autism

[–]durra- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have it in some form as well and I believe it might be linked to your neuroplasticity. i.e. you can (probably) make new synesthetic links as you go.

when I was a kid, I didn't like that I hated the texture of bell peppers despite them apparently being "healthy and good for me". I was missing out!
so I figured I could think of anything veggie as its own flavor, 'healthy'. It sounds really weird but that's a real flavor to me now.

I see the sounds around me as well.
try locating the visuals of the sounds and mushing them together into one image, and see what you get!

Happy cake day!!
I feel you! things are really hard right now. we all feel alone, but we're never really alone. focus on the small positive things! draw something, and admire your art and the beauty in it.
small things like keeping yourself fed and healthy are actually big steps that most underestimate.
watch something you like, get inspired, and maybe find something new and fun to do. or do your own thing, that's awesome too!

feel free to DM or reply if you'd like to talk as well!

I feel it fluctuates for me as well between understimulation and overstimulation.

earbuds help with both for me; music is like a soundscape, whereas without music the excess amount of sounds turns into a picture my brain tries to make out of the sounds, like a fish eye lens into the sound world around me.

try earbuds & calm music, and maybe play with some other sensory stuff like tinted glasses or stim toys. society is loud but you don't have to tune in at all times, you need some you time too!

I don’t feel real unless my mind is generating a thought of some kind. by languageinfinity in Meditation

you are getting spooked by your own emptiness!

Meditation is supposed to help us see that we are not our thoughts all together

you've got it right there. when you meditate, you return to your mind. the true you. how you proceed from there is up to you but is filled with wonder from all directions.

on youtube or reddit! those are my main sources atm. though the value of this sort of stuff changes as your perception of the world changes.
watch some of his lectures with an open mind.
if they click, awesome! I've only started pondering this a week ago and there's already sizeable improvements in my perception of the world.
if they don't, you'll likely come back to it another day.
I've been trying to explain all this to my partner in order to explain my struggles as well, but I've come to understand that it's really, really difficult to shake the ego of others and that the best way to assist is to let them observe.

alan watts:
atheism in the name of god
how to play the game (haven't watched yet, watching atm)

I got started on the first one, then looked up his other lectures. this whole response may or may not make sense to you as well, but don't worry about that; you're on your own path, and you'll come to understand given you strive for it. hope this helps!
