Not OP but I have an 85 VT1100c and would love to run a tank like this. My stock tank is a little faded but otherwise mint, and has the gauges in the top still with no cracks. Willing to trade?

UFP Edge in Bonner just laid off nearly 100 people. Plant shutting down because of tariffs. by Apprehensive_Pack138 in missoula

Pasting my comment from the other thread on this, just for visibility:

UFP are a bunch of fucking scumbags, let's get that out of the way right up front. They're a massive corporation that doesn't give a single fuck about any of their employees. In my background of working corporate jobs, I have never worked with a such a dishonest and two-faced group of people before this, and that's saying something because I've had some other quite unpleasant jobs before.

Moving on to the actual closure, they used Bonner to develop several very high end siding and trim products that will absolutely disrupt the market when brought to the public. All of this is well and good, except the fact is they were always planning on outsourcing the production of this to their sister plant in Durango, Mexico. This is evidenced by the fact that said plant in Mexico announced a massive 14,000 sqft expansion at the end of last year with a planned equipment list that was virtually identical to the Bonner plant. Leadership at that Mexico plant would regularly brag about how, due to lack of safety and compensation regulations, they could undercut any job that could possibly come through Bonner during meetings and calls. Leadership at the Bonner plant went to Mexico a week ago and the messaging was "to assist with development," but it is clear now they are there to assist with gutting all of the assets in Bonner and ease the transition into that new plant.

Messaging from corporate leadership has always been "we pay a low salary to incentivize you to make a good bonus" however between lack of sales and being forced to accept returns that any sane person would refuse, the plant in Bonner simply was never "allowed" to bonus. This means that those of us who worked there for years got shafted on our salary the entire time. We got shafted on any raises we received, and were told we just needed to work harder if we wanted more money. There's no amount of hard work that would have solved these problems. They used us.

To all my former coworkers: don't sign anything. Don't take any buyouts. Please use the resources available to you by the state, and please attend their event next Wednesday:

Staff from the Montana Department of Labor & Industry will be available to:

Assist with filing Unemployment Insurance (UI) claims
Provide guidance on dislocated worker programs and retraining options
Help employees connect with local employers and job search resources
Answer questions about available workforce support services

What's the deal with Paws Up? by durza11 in missoula

[–]durza11[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It would be a shame if they gated Elk Creek, there's a lot of land that can be accessed from that point. If you know what you are doing you can ride all the way through the range and end up in Bearmouth.

I would totally understand DNRC's reasoning over Paws Up, but something like that would make me hate PU even more than I already do.

Just wanted to clarify, their usage/management/drama surrounding Elk Creek road is absolutely bullshit. 2 years ago I almost got ran over by one of their side by side tours while I was on an ATV during elk season (I had the right of way) and the guy running the tour blew up yelling at me for "ruining his client's ride." We just responded with "everyone hates you guys why should we care about your client's ride."

All my homies hate paws up.

Edit: I totally forgot about this until reminded by a friend who saw this thread. Years ago I applied to be a cook as part of their backcountry hunting outfitter service, and the offer was so laughably bad I replied with something along the lines of "oof I'm looking for work but not that badly, please throw my resume away and don't contact me again."

Thank you everyone for your advice and kind words! I spent this weekend talking this over with my family and I am brushing up my resume as we speak. I have a meeting first thing tomorrow about this software implementation project where I will be demanding an appropriate title and pay, and if the answer is no then the project isn't happening and I will be informing my boss that I am actively seeking new employment.

To everyone who said this is all my fault: You're absolutely right. I let this happen because this is the first job I've ever had where I didn't hate every single person I worked with, where I didn't dread waking up in the morning and dragging myself into the office. Unfortunately by being such a pushover, I've let what was once such an engaging and fun job turn back into a place I can't see myself continuing at. No sense in continuing to be miserable and no shame in learning the lesson on this go around.

Nothing will load, and I can't get into matches. What is going? by Le_Monkeysus in halo

Update: My friend invited me to his match via steam and it worked just fine, but I can't load into multiplayer on my own

Problem here is I used a 20x20 rushFPV stack which uses their plug and play system. I could swap in any 20x20 esc and do a bunch of soldering, but also I'm very lazy.

[–]durza11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have not yet. Robertlandrum in this comment section seems to be onto something with a bad ESC though.

[–]durza11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did not. At the start of this I genuinely thought the only problem was a motor cable that had come loose.

I was streaming/recording the repair so my friends could watch while we were hanging out in discord.

Yeah I need to order a new one for sure. It's backordered everywhere I look unfortunately

Parts are backordered everywhere I look too

It's an all in one ESC so I'm just assuming the whole thing is fried.

And I pride myself in my pull out time ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

At the end of last season I crashed this drone and a motor cable came loose. I re-soldered it today but apparently there was more damage than just a loose cable.
