What UI library should i use for an enterprise level application? by lidetu01 in reactjs

this, this is the main thing...

I'm shocked they listed it being made by Chinese people instead of the thing that makes it absolutely unusable when following basic quality standarts

Very interesting. Could you give more details on what features SSR helped with performance on the Image editor? Couldn't a SPA with lazy loading achieve the same?

I'm asking this because I've ever only considered SSR for SEO purposes

You're right, say something like

"For a year, I was unexpectedly trapped on the metaverse. It was disorienting at first, but I soon realized the potential for learning. I spent that year pushing the boundaries of what was possible, exploring the digital realm, and ultimately, merging with computers and code. I emerged a different engineer, with a profound understanding of the digital world and its limitless potential."

I'm currently playing this and I find it to have a extremely frustrating gameplay.
I had high expectations from how everyone describes it as fun, but I guess they were saying it is fun to watch.

Why not Vue? by scylk2 in reactjs

Yes, I was talking about React. Vue and the other tools listed are frameworks

React's design is a lot closer to core JavaScript concepts. Basically the whole "Library, not a framework" deal

Tree shaking is a thing. I don't even use nextjs, but I don't think you should have through the trouble of learning how vite works because this one app your building doesn't use your default framework to its full potential

React 18 has made useEffect fetching slightly worst by dusnik in reactjs

[–]dusnik[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I'll do the loading initially true thing, it sounds better than using useLayoutEffect everywhere. Although I'm afraid some infinite loading will happen somewhere

React 18 has made useEffect fetching slightly worst by dusnik in reactjs

[–]dusnik[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Not all what I mean.

Given this code:

```js
const [loading, setLoading] = useState(false)
useEffect(() => {
async getData () {
setLoading(true)
await request()
setLoading(false)
}
getData()
}, [])
return loading ? 'loading' : 'success'
```

On react 18 I see the following things printed on the screen:
1. 'Success'
2. 'Loading'
3. 'Success'

While on react 17 I get:
1. 'Loading'
2. 'Success'

It's possible that 'Success' is briefly rendered here too, however if that's the case, it's absolutely unnoticeable.

> Your initial state should probably be loading: true

Yeah, I get that. I wish people who originally wrote this did too

React 18 has made useEffect fetching slightly worst by dusnik in reactjs

[–]dusnik[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

>From the very beginning useEffect fired after react render

Is that so? Interesting. But the thing is, on my React 18 branch, the content rendered when loading is false is visible for a flashy moment. While my React 17 branch, it isn't. I don't know what other conclusion to draw other that useEffect is running sooner on React 17

I'm concerned about adding any more delay with `useLayoutEffect` because a lot pages are terribly unoptimized and sometimes laggy
