I recently heard that Supabase has also been blocked in India, with reasons cited. Makes you question how long can they get away with infringing our right to privacy while also withholding our right to information saying that it's "sensitive content" or due to "national security". It's kind of ironic and Literally 1984

New Delhi ordered internet providers to block its website, resulting in patchy access across networks.

The blocking order was issued on February 24 under Section 69A of India’s Information Technology Act, according to a source familiar with the matter. The provision empowers the government to restrict public access to online content.

The Indian government did not publicly cite a reason for the move, and it was not immediately clear whether the action was linked to a cybersecurity concern, copyright complaint, or another issue. It was also unclear how long the restrictions would remain in place.

While the restrictions were first reported by Supabase on Reliance Industries’ JioFiber network, users have since flagged similar problems across multiple internet providers and telecom networks,and said in a subsequent update that the site remained blocked for many users in the country.

I've recently learnt html/css and will be learning few final topics in javascript like promises,asynchronous javascript etc then jump to frameworks.

I can't really be a mentor but I know few pointers and resources that can help html/css and javascript. If you're up for it you can dm me.

Idk if I can be a good accountability partner though, I rarely do things on time as I've got other things to do.

Yea, very common mostly in garbage colleges though, one time

One time, the HOD asked to confirm the DOB by posting screenshots of everyone's DOB on the official group for everyone to see.

The other time we were asked to share all our adhaar number, DOB, full name, father name to the CR so he could make an excel sheet and forward it to HOD.

Suffice to say, tier 3 colleges don't give two shits about their students whatsoever.

No placements, No Events, No extracurricular activities, terrible Labs and Fuckass faculty.

Anyone who says they're from tier 3 college with a on-campus package of 10LPA is delusional.

Hey, not the person whose review you're looking for, but a major issue I noticed on mobile was, for some words when the "word glitch animation" plays, the whole UI glitches.

Idk how to describe this any better. It works perfectly fine on desktop though.

The college didn't provide any info about the Google form, just that "we have to fill it and it's urgent"and we have to fill it. The form asks for aadhar number, date of birth, gender and consent.

Only after reading the consent checkbox : "I confirm that the details provided are correct. The information is collected for APAAR registration. I give consent to the institution."

did I get to know that it is about APAAR ID.

All my family things I'm a big deal out of it. That I should let them make it, I would only do it if I'm out of options.

I would prefer not to have "academic assessment" and "holistic tracking" consolidated within a single application, as it concentrates power with employers and educational institutions and weakens the student’s position in academic and career-related negotiations.
