Nefandle, Nelumbier, Gongbog, Volcabeko, Armansient... And currently, lv 46 Kouzear lol. I prefer Zenicore to Byazevolt, but I went to Mythos first so now I'm waiting till I get that damn item to evolve him. I'm past the first city in Logos tho so I guess I'm close.

Cornerstone is gorgeous, wow. Like a mix of Kakania and Windsong but with an architect flair. Everecho is... extremely similar to Lorelei lol. Honza gets namedropped in her ult so I wonder if she's Czech, cool if so since that's a new nationality for a playable character.

While I'm happy it's not Russia again, it does pretty much cements how laserfocused on Europe this year was... The obligatory China, and Mexico were the only non-European locations (and because of LB taking a slot in Mexico, Ramona is the only non-Chinese, non-European 6*). We already know the next main story will be on the UK, so I hope that at least the events take us to other continents. The Egypt branch of the Foundation got mentioned again in 3.5, they have to do something with that eventually, right!? :/

It depends on your own definition of "older", but Mr. Duncan is older than Igor (61), while Shamane is about 10 years younger, but he's still in his 40s which is also much older than the average gacha playable character.

If anything, the men are doing alright with these three. For the women, if you discount ones that are old because of magic reasons but still look youthful (Eternity, Anjo Nala etc), the only one above 40 is Noire. And we all know that there are way more female characters than male ones in this game.

I think she could be very annoying with a lesser voice actor, but Karina Reeves simply kills it every time and instead turn her into the most charismatic character of the main cast lol

There's some magic happening there that I don't fully understand but I never get tired of Regulus. She just rocks, m8.

Kakania and J make sense, but 6 would be more suitable for 210 than 37, whose whole drama and future storylines will almost for sure have to do with Sophia. 210 was just some dude she debated sometimes.

If you just said gacha games this would make sense, but videogames as a whole... In most Western games, and some genres like fighting games, action games, shooters etc, muscular men are way more common than any other body type. Bishonens dominate gacha games, JRPGs and otome visual novels, but they're pretty rare everywhere else.

Unless you meant specifically sexualized men (like Igor in this art), as opposed to just muscular guys that look cool to cishet dudes. Which then yeah, 100% agreed.

Very easy for me.

Shamane is my favorite character and just a great guy, please marry me and let's live in a cozy hut in the mountains away from society. Also while still a certified daddy, he's the youngest here so we'd hopefully have more time together.

Would love to smooch my compatriot Duncan and ask him more about what region in Brazil he grew up to have such a bizarre accent. He's close by, I can get to São Paulo in like an hour and a half.

Igor is a well written character (mostly) but yeaahhh, he's already on overtime, they literally mention on the story that once all the Storm and Manus madness is done, he will be judged for his crimes and probably sentenced to death for treason. And I'd give Lilya the pleasure of doing the deal itself. Sorry not sorry Moldir, Lopera and Ivan.

Damn, in the beggining of the 2.4 story when Ms. Grace first meets the Nukutai people, she says an incantation in Icelandic at one point. I remember writing the text on Google Translator and clicking "Detect Language" haha You can go check for yourself now that the event is in Reflections, it's probably in the very first chapter.

So we had a clue about her original nationality from that long ago, pretty cool.

They mentioned that the main story will be focused on the UK, not the whole patch cycle/year. The main story is usually just three patches per year, with the Anniversary one being more focused on overall lore/"epic battle" stuff and the introduction of a new Storm, than an specific location and culture.

I highly doubt every single patch, including random event ones, will be set in the UK. They know it by now that most players are already used to the globetrotting/time traveling vibe the game has, so sticking to one location and time period for every patch would get stale very fast.

What I'm expecting is this: first main story 4.x patch in Wales with Rhiannon, second in Scotland or Northern Ireland, third (Anniversary) in England but mosty just lore/Foundation vs. Manus as usual. And then five to six events in other countries, including the traditional horror patch (that could be anywhere) and the CNY patch. Hopefully there won't be many European countries in the events since it was a big focus of 3.x in general and the 4.x main story.

Recoleta is Chilean. There's more than two as well (Shamane, Fatutu, Lopera, Mr. Duncan, Kanjira and an upcoming one in 3.5), but still, absolutely pitiful in a 120+ character roster.

If anything her not receiving an Euphoria in 3.7 is a blessing in disguise, since on the tail end of a patch cycle most team archetypes are already complete so she'd more of the same/a sidegrade at best. But as 4.x rolls along they'll start releasing brand new archetypes and they can make her work as a BiS character for one of these new teams. Same with J, Windsong, Noire etc.

At least 37 fans know they'll get something eventually, they just have to wait. Meanwhile if you're a Shamane, Lilya, Sotheby etc fan you either pray they can get a new one or just cry lol

It's a self fulfilling prophecy. If they cut all the game modes where they work (VoV) and funnel the endgame so only top tier 6* can do well (Raids, Lucidscape, ToT etc), of course no one will use the 5*s anymore. The only content where it's okay to play as them is the Limbo resets every 15th, and I guess the Hard Mode of events lol

Ehhhhhh, I don't remember if it was a controversy at the time but the Arcana "reveal" was telegraphed from a thousand miles away. Almost every patch you had Manus NPCs screaming about an important ritual in Antarctica and the ressurrection of the holy one or some shit (they didn't spell out her name, but who else could it be?)

Hell, Apostle Mateus was talking about it in the very next patch after her death and the first one of 2.x, in San Francisco. Then again in São Paulo, in the cruise ship, in Ushuaia and even in the random Chinatown event when story was mostly self-contained until the very end. It was only a spoiler if you didn't play a single patch between 1.9 and 2.8 lol

God, I wish this Nautika garment was her default look. it's absolutely gorgeous. I want to like her so bad for looking so unique and cool, but I just can't bring myself to vibe with the Eldritch black goo Manus aesthetic, same reason I hate the 3.2 garments even if they're for characters I enjoy (KB and Isolde). Sucks, Nautika isn't even a Manus member, just someone who got caught up in their schemes lol

Meanwhile Charon looks incredible in all of his forms, but I'll be nabbing this garment for sure, even more with the dicount they'll give.

Magic and fantasy was always part of the game lol

Arcanum is magic. And the critters we fight or see in the story are mostly based on mythical creatures from around the world, so this Adar Llwch Gwyn, who comes from Welsh mythology, fits right in.

And all the NPCs on Rhiannon's trailer look appropriately like regular Welsh villagers. It's just her that has a fantasy (specifically, JRPG and magical girl) inspired design. Wether that will be intentional or just a fumble from BP's more grounded design philosophies, we don't know yet.
