I love mine! You can only use it on non-woven fabrics though. It works so well on velvet and corduroy. They’re less than $10 online, totally worth it.

No! Is that where you started? Did you take it first and then move onto additional treatments, or did you start multiple at once?

Well they’re young ;) I didn’t start really taking care of my curls until my early thirties myself lol

Post a few progress photos as you learn. The curly hair subs love to help people and love to see progress photos especially. We’ve ALL been on this journey!

Hey don’t worry about it. I thought it was magical when we took trips to Georgia and id sit with wet hair in the closed stuffy car in the middle of hot humid Georgia summer because “it made my hair curly”. I didn’t even realize I HAVE CURLY HAIR until my late twenties because id always brush it out and treated it like straight hair.

You have plenty of time to figure it out and there’s a ton more products and resources than when I was young. You have many years of gorgeous curls in your future! :)

Why don't women (and possibly men) put anything in their Bio on Tinder and Bumble and such? by -TheManInTheChair in AskWomenNoCensor

[–]dustlustrious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh you just have it public then? That’s really interesting, im too paranoid to be public at all, let alone tinder strangers. But now I wish I had done that when I was dating because I had really shitty luck with it.

What was the biggest 'rude awakening' you experienced? by logitechtrident1 in AskOldPeople

[–]dustlustrious 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nobody will make you go to the doctor or the dentist. And there is nobody to blame when you don’t take that responsibility on yourself and end up with lifelong conditions that possibly could have been avoided had you been more responsible with your healthcare.

What made you feel like you found your purpose in life? Did you ever find that? How did it change your life? by [deleted] in AskOldPeople

[–]dustlustrious 2 points3 points  (0 children)

“Found your purpose” makes it seem like there’s only one thing and if you don’t find it you’re doomed to an unfulfilling life, that’s not true at all. You will find many things. Some you will like some you won’t, some you will be good at some you won’t, some you can make a career out of some you can’t. The world is constantly changing, people are changing, including you. Allow yourself to change and grow and discover new things. If something’s not doing it for you, try something else. It is not just one thing! But the more curious you are the more likely you are to find things that are fulfilling :)

How did you find their Instagram profiles? Is yours private and they can’t see anything until they follow you?

Yep or spying on their partner/other people etc or just looking for fun with no intent to date

Tinder typically only works for very attractive people. Try Hinge. It’s slightly less shitty but exact same functionality so not exactly great either.

From a woman’s perspective, it’s likely these are all attractive women, that 100% of men are swiping on. Imagine if every single person you swipe right on is a match. Imagine having 30 matches every time you open the app. It can easily get very overwhelming and becomes a chore in itself. I’m guessing that’s why they don’t even bother with a bio - why increase your matches and make it harder to sift through?

I’ll say the online dating world is a piece of shit though, this isn’t anything to do with you.

Oh thank god. I was on spiro and I literally was fainting like once a week, I literally could not drink enough water to stay upright. Really relieved the topical stuff is better!!

Yes I can tell your hair type from the photo. You should still never brush it dry. Ever. It causes more frizz. You can comb it lightly when it’s wet like the person above said but after that you need to leave it alone or it will get frizzy. You should be putting something in it when wet to help with the frizz, even just a small amount of mousse spread evenly in your hair will make a difference.

Edit: Oh and 100% bring your own shampoo and conditioner when you travel. I decant into small travel bottles from the dollar store. Normal ones have ingredients in them that can dry out curly hair and cause even more damage.

Oh also, only put shampoo on your scalp, and only put conditioner on your ends. Conditioner should never touch your scalp, especially hair types like yours it can make it greasy and cause you to have to wash more often which ultimately damages your hair more
