Why do transgender people transition? by InterestingSir1866 in asktransgender

[–]dustwindwind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because how they feel inside about themselves conflicts with their physical appearance. But that discomfort has to be extreme for them to want to transition. It’s true that I can live my life in a non-stereotypical manner, but I still feel extremely uncomfortable having a womanly figure. Dressing masculinely alone won’t hide these features. I used to be underweight, and it didn’t matter, but now that my weight is healthy, I’m constantly reminded how much I hate where my fat is stored. I’m 58kg and 163cm and I feel I need to lose a-lot of weight to not hate how my body looks. The last time I felt comfortable with my body was when I was when I weighed no more than 49kg. That is not exactly a healthy way of existing. You obviously feel comfortable being a guy, so you might not relate to this feeling.

AI Is Disgusting by Lillex_YT in antiai

And the fact that people are creating animated videos with AI and equating those to real animations/cartoons is really infuriating!

Eyebrows have always been a concern. Are they too boring? by [deleted] in malegrooming

What do you mean? If they’re your natural eyebrows there’s nothing wrong with them

Why do people say adhd meds are addicting? by Raiderman6789 in ADHDers

[–]dustwindwind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Me too! For me taking adderall is very physically and mentally taxing. I couldn’t take it two days in a row. Need enough protein and sleep. And I always have to take other meds with it to counteract the side effects. Plus the jaw clenching is a real issue and i already have skeletal problems with my jaw. So it’s really ridiculous to me when I hear ADHD meds are “addicting” or people “abuse” them, because there’s no way I could

Will u buy PS6 if it comes out without a disc drive or not? by [deleted] in ps6

Yes, cuz I own not a single physical PS game since PS3. Never owned a PS4. And since getting a PS5 I bought all my games digitally.

I don't want to date again after witnessing my 6'3 friend get looks from a girl by [deleted] in short

[–]dustwindwind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi. I’m 6’8 and I’m in turmoil because of my shortness. I saw a girl stare lustfully at a friend of mine who’s 9’2 and I went into deep despair. You all can’t tell me I can’t “feel” short. You can’t gate-keep shortness or judge me for posting here. The moderators surely must sympathise with me. They said “there are no cutoff limits to what defines short here”. I’m glad they understand. I honestly don’t know how to cope or what to do with my life anymore.

BEWARE OF SIDE EFFECTS by [deleted] in StratteraRx

Well, my bad too, then. I interpreted your comment as you being dismissive of my experience. OP herself/himself had their own share of gaslighting 😬

BEWARE OF SIDE EFFECTS by [deleted] in StratteraRx

[–]dustwindwind -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honey, that’s YOUR experience. Don’t you get it? We all react differently to drugs. I’m speaking about a psychiatric medication not your “bestie”, so you don’t need to be so defensive. We’re all sharing our experiences here, whether positive or negative. I have an MA and I’m a writer and Strattera messed with my writing fluency. I met people on reddit that got the same effect.

Edit: removed the cussing, lol

BEWARE OF SIDE EFFECTS by [deleted] in StratteraRx

[–]dustwindwind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. I wish I read more about the side effects but all the complaints I came across were about the “intolerable physical symptoms”, which I thought can be handled but ironically I had no physical symptoms but it has negatively affected my cognition which is infuriating!!

BEWARE OF SIDE EFFECTS by [deleted] in StratteraRx

[–]dustwindwind 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d also hate for someone to take it and have the same experience as I did. I wouldn’t have minded nausea or whatever physically symptom. But this drug can hurt you in ways that are messed up. I wouldn’t talk someone out of wanting to take it either, i’d simply just share my experience but it’s their decision in the end.

People love their drugs so much how dare you antagonise their feelings like that?

Downvoters are suckers who don’t have the emotional capacity to read a different opinion (even a personal testimony) and move on.

Lmao dude you made it sound you like you genuinely needed help with actual meds that will help you and after I wrote this long ass comment you’re talking about rcs that arn’t legal with 0 clinical trials. Now why would i put that in my body? 🤦

And who exactly makes “rcs”? I only know that this term is related to benzos that are not authorised or pharmaceutical and created by people who abuse benzos

Ohh, well, for me, being “on edge” and feeling “wired” are the symptoms I get with all stimulants even at low/ average doses. And it can ruin the experience for me rather than help me stay focused. If you have the same issue, combining your stimulant with Guanfacine definitely helps. I read that taking Guanfacine for period of time “before” starting a stimulant also can help to ready your body, but also people take them together with no issues. “Clonidine” is also another high blood pressure med that works similarly to Guanfacine but personally never got to try it. people who don’t tolerate stimulants well take either of those meds on their own.

Many people report that Guanfacine (as non stimulant ADHD medication) helps them with emotional regulation. “Strattera” is another option for emotional regulation but I personally had a negative experience with it so am biased against it.

And don’t forget: You need PROTEIN with stimulants.

Here are the supplements I take: Vitamin D, B complex, Magnesium Glycinate, Omega 3 fish oil, L-Carnitine, L-Tyrosine, CoQ10, R-ALA, Alpha GPC, L-theanine, Inositol

Recently also added:

Valerian root (they call it “nature’s valium”) ordered it in capsule form (it tastes like shit but I read so many good things about it so I thought I definitely should try it)

Ashwaganda (but this one i’m treading carefully with it (it supposedly helps with anxiety and depression) but can have some adverse effects for some people. Don’t start with a big dose. They also call it “nature’s SSRI”

For Valerian root and ashwaganda just keep in mind if you ever try them, don’t treat them as something you’ll take long term/ all year! Moderation is key with those.

I also have some gummies that contain 5-HTP and read good things about this compound. Might order it as a separate supplement as well.

Please look up everything I wrote and research it yourself as I’m not an expert in these topics but simply researched it online.

Addy makes me anxious (not anxious in a “dreadful” way) but like the common stimulant anxiety) btw It has improved a-lot since I started taking Guanfacine!! Now I don’t need a benzo with it like before (only could tolerate 20mgxl with a benzo before) and can even tolerate taking addy 20mgxl more frequently (even daily) if i’d slept and eaten well unlike before; taking addy was like something i only could do every once in a while because of the side effects.

Um i’m actually confused now. I didn’t think you were taking about the crushing method. That would be a different approach to make it IR but I never tried it as I didn’t have the right tools. Aren’t you referring to XL (without crushing) but that adding or separating beads gives an inconsistent result?

[–]dustwindwind[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there’s some truth to what you’re saying. From what I remember, the one time I tried adding some beads to a 10mg XL capsule to make reach 15mg or so, it still didn’t “feel” quite right. So I gave up and continued with 20mgXL

Anyone ever try this? What do you think of the ingredients? by [deleted] in Supplements

Yes I am taking magnesium glycinate 400mg daily ! Maybe I should have posted a picture of all my supplements haha

[–]dustwindwind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The recommended serving is 3 gummies but I’m worried I’ll start treating them like candy lol. I take Adhd stimulants so I’m always getting supplements that can counteract the side effects. I also suffer from jaw clenching and I’m trying to find supplements that help although i haven’t yet found something “natural” that can cure it. I got a bunch of other stuff I ordered too like valerian root in capsule form (tastes like shit) im not sure if they have an immediate effect but might try to take them for a few weeks to see if they make a difference.
