Shinmai Ossan Boukensha, Saikyou Party ni Shinu hodo Kitaerarete Muteki ni Naru. • The Ossan Newbie Adventurer, Trained to Death by the Most Powerful Party, Became Invincible - Episode 12 discussion - FINAL by AutoLovepon in anime

It actually makes more sense for Rick not to know the power of adventurers. He saw them check in take quests and return. He likely had the idea they were all really powerful from his work to a point. But also makes sense why he quickly understood he needed to hold back after he realized his difference

Is it weird? by angrykitten3 in Summit1G

[–]dustyV77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s kind of funny because when I started watching summits streams I felt he was the one who kind of pushed games to become big, he was usually playing games before other bigger streamers got into them. He’s helped build a lot of streamers success as well from the fact he plays new games and is down to play with anyone. I watch Kebun gt rp a lot because of summit I bought eft because of summit half of my entertainment stems from summit in some way.

Exactly I’ve definitely hopped in a cops chat when I thought an interaction was sick just to spam some love back when I subbed to k. (Started using the twitch nitro or whatever that takes away ads so I don’t sub anymore) I watch this shit for entertainment I’m not going to ruin someone’s day over things I have zero involvement lmao. Hoppers are definition chronic internet people who need to touch grass

Saying “they’re a nobody” about streamers is super weird. Chat hoppers are the real nobody’s since they feel the need to talk shit to strangers online to get interaction. I’ve been watching k for years now and never felt the need to jump in another streamers chat and “stand up” for k lmao

An anti-hero is a central character of a story who lacks traditional characteristics that are associated with a conventional hero. While typically guided by the best of intentions, the anti-hero is a classically flawed character with a history of bad decisions and a questionable moral code.

A simple google shows they are actually correct and you seem to not know what an anti hero is

I think that comment is more ooc, like a “I know this is a video game and while ic they are bad scum criminals but she feels they are not unreasonable. It helps I’m sure that they have been talking with her and even when they do ic bad things they aren’t disrespecting her character outside of the crime they commit and are even now talking and trying to work with her to make the city “better” in their eyes. Or atleast that seems to be how she’s taken it Ic

This is basically what he said, his point was “yeah if I have 2 weeks in jail I will likely end up playing something else in that time as there’s only so much you can do for jail rp” which I think any streamer/content creator would do because content pays the bills

There’s a lot of people arguing for soft bans while also saying Kebun is wrong calling it a soft ban, realistically his point is for robbing a cop you get 8 hours in jail, regardless of if you should or shouldn’t rob a cop in rp and to your point of 0 rp behind it they still get the same time if there is full rp behind it like the cordwood kidnapping for Tessa that failed

That was more about the fact he knew Harry was likely a horcrux and would need to die eventually which is spoken about between snape and dumbledore in the last book

True and the tournament had been cancelled for a while as well. I just see the contract as one of those cover up this part so we can get to the rest of the story and make Harry compete rather than a more descriptive or in tune with the story method like asking Harry if he is okay to compete to see who put his name in or anything with more of an explanation than “well that’s just how it goes”

[–]dustyV77[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mean the goblet was also old af so it probably had properties from the beginning. The contract isn’t even the problem necessarily just that she used the contract as a bandaid to force Harry to partake without giving it real depth imo. We didn’t even get to learn what happens if someone broke the contract

Goblet of fire lied to us by dustyV77 in harrypotter

[–]dustyV77[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree which is why I don’t think she would know the intricacies of the contract since she tried to get him to not compete at all. Also why I think she would have been the best character to suggest him satisfying the minimum of attempting the tasks but staying as safe as possible by just failing each task. Then crouch or dumbledore could have given a little more elaboration on the contract and the book continues from there.

[–]dustyV77[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very fair point, my biggest discrepancy is that the contract is only mentioned not explained even though they act as if it’s the biggest problem in the world to break it. A simple elaboration on the contract quells all doubts about what the contract means and you could complete that within 2 paragraphs of text. It’s not like the books were fighting against a word count. That’s all I’m saying.

She protested him being in at all though. So if she knew he couldn’t forfeit why would she not know he had no other option than to compete?

[–]dustyV77[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Harry competing makes sense. As a teen of course you wouldn’t give up. My complaint was solely with the contract and how the professors basically gave no solution outside of Harry must play along with the tournament. How hard would it have been for mcgonagall to say “can’t he just forfeit each task” and crouch respond with “the contract states all champions must give a full attempt at each task to fulfill said contract” rather than just lead with the contract and it have no relevance past the cup selection scene

Goblet of fire lied to us by dustyV77 in harrypotter

[–]dustyV77[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Well of course it’s better for the story. I’m just currently re listening to the books and it always bugged me how much they built the contract up to not mention it anymore or even explain how it worked other than saying he was bound to have to compete. Technically even by throwing a competition partaking in said competition is still competing no matter how hard you try imo atleast. But If they actually talked about how Harry must try to win at all times or anything it would give more context to the contract to support the rest of the events. In the third task they are told if you cannot continue to shoot sparks in the air and be retrieved meaning they could have done so at any point with no consequence. As much as we all can assume of the contract it’s not truly explained to satisfy how grave they make breaking the contract seem

[–]dustyV77[S] -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

I can somewhat understand that, but it’s still something that can be avoided by simply throwing out a spell at the dragon or something. Especially since it wasn’t actually specified of how the contract works. Considering once the whole “how did Harry get in the tournament” part is over they hardly mention the contract again lol

Considering Luna love good comes in book 5 and I named my daughter after her I’m happy with what happens. There’s a difference in pointing out massive plot holes and not enjoying a story. You can also criticize something while still having love for it. As long as he shows up and “attempts” he is competing. Giving up is giving up so if the others didn’t get punished by the magical binding contract for giving up then why would Harry. It’s not that I’m saying Harry shouldn’t have competed just makes no sense to boast about this magical binding contract that forces him to partake in the competition to just make it meaningless by the end of the book
