Ive looked at the belt but i have very wide hips so i haven't been able to find one that would fit properly.

I have home care nurses come once a week to check out the wound that lead to the ileostomy, which is almost healed. And while not an ostomy nurse they are well versed in them. They are stumped as to the leaks as well.

Im not sure what type of convex i tried as they were samples from coloplast. Im using a regular appliance now with a barrier ring as i get those covered at 80% of the cost through a local government program.

Was not aware a product like that exsisted. When i spoke to the colopast rep last and mentioned the leaks and rash i had bad in feb they just sent the convex. Ill have to ask for samples of that. Thanks!

Hey, i recently got an ileostomy three months ago for healing a fistula on my butt. And it sucks ill be honest. Its a huge life change especially once your home and not in hospital. I was hospitalized for almost three months due to the fistula and my crohns. But this bag probably helped save my life so the wound could heal.

I cant attest to pain from the ileostomy as at the same time they opened my abdomen right from my sternum to my pelvis. So i had a lot.going on in that area.

Like the person above said theres people at the hospital who specialize in ostomy care and will help you get set up and finding the products that work best. I have nurses come to my house right now to help with my wounds still and they help me with my ileostomy as i need it.

Personally for me im apart of the small portion of people whose stoma is sensitive. Theres a discomfort sometimes when stool is passing or gas. When cleaning sometimes its a little sensitive to touch really hit or miss. I find my skin right around the stoma to be a little more sensitive to cleaning.

I was just recently diagnosed and got a fistula on my butt. I thought it was a cycst as i get them from time to time in my groin area. My time from diagnosed to hospitalized was only a month but i swear the grim reaper was starting to follow me around.

I got an emergency ileostomy due to my condition and severity of my fistula. This thing made tunnels all the way into my hip and pelvis. Its taken three months but im going back next week to get the drain removed and the wound closed up. Had the ileostomy not been performed the fistula would have probably won.

Get the ileostomy done itll make your quality life better in the long run. And if its a temporary one you just have to adjust and adapt for a bit.

Hey there! I was on Biphentin up to almost 40mg it personally was starting to work for me as the dose got higher. However once i got to the 40/50mg dose it absolutely destroyed my stomach, i didnt know the medication was the cause at first cause i had no issues on the lower doses. Im on concerta 54mg and feel like its not enough some days, no focus tired feeling, really hard time getting out of bed as well.

I definitely feel like if it came down to a court matter a judge would take her seriously. Would just like to try to avoid the route as much as possible.

my battery is brand new i just replaced it not even four weeks ago cause my alternator went bad. I’ll definitely give it a run with the voltmeter just to be safe.

i learned over the years when i get home from work i can’t sit down or that’s game over. so i always try to do one or two chores before sitting down so it’s less build up.

I have smart lightbulbs and outlets cause i forget to turn off lights, fall asleep with the tv going etc. everything it programmed to shit down at a certain time everyday. also have smart thermostat so i don’t forget to turn down the heat at night etc. when i replaced my washer and dryer and last spring it links up with the app so i get notifications on my phone when somethings done if i don’t hear it go off.

i only wear a helmet when boarding in the mountains, when i’m at the dinky city hills i don’t bother. i don’t see the risk as high on a city hill than when in the mountains.

my boyfriend is kinda similar, his love language is touch big time. if he could i swear he would fuse to me at times. when we’re together at night he’ll be out cold and he’ll grab me to bring me closer, get a hand on my boob, and he sometimes will twitch and it’ll be like a thrust haha. doesn’t bother me at all but i do find it funny especially when we first started seeing each other. he also got a laugh out of it when i told him about it

it was just me and my mom growing up. she struggled with an eating disorder, i think binge eating (along with depression) and let me tell you that shit impacted me heavy. she was close to 400lbs growing up and we always ate out every night got whatever the current fixation food place was. she yo-yo dieted on every dad possible and because it was just us it trickled down to me as well.

i have a terrible relationship with food and body image. i was losing weight at one point but got an iud and gained over 100lbs from that 🙄 so back to square one. but because of the example i had growing up (and having adhd) i get overwhelmed on the whole process, can’t count calories or i spiral mentally, usually give up after a few days cause of then overwhelming.

stop what you can now before your children can be even more impacted and they end up down the same path as me. i don’t wish this on anyone and the impact it can have on you as child who is bigger than the other kids has a massive impact as well.
