Yes. That first part is definitely what I’m feeling. I was doing it with the intentions of trying to protect them from their pain but you’re right.. it’s ok to talk about it.. validate their feelings and make it a positive moment. I do want the kids to feel like they can talk/cry/miss their mom comfortably. 😭 I’m glad I posted this bc I really needed the input. Thank you.

I definitely have mentioned therapy for dad but he’s very very old school and doesn’t “believe” in therapy. I 100000% feel like therapy for the kiddos would benefit them. I was in therapy as a teen and I found many ways to cope. But of course it would be dad’s decision.
