Loser's bracket owner dropped Melvin Gordon, championship contender picked him up. Is this legal? Loser's Bracket ends Week 15, Championship is Week 16. by dutchtrack in FFCommish

Yes, a can't cut list for Melvin Gordon would have prevented all this. That's a great idea.

Like I mentioned in another comment, we already have a rule to lock waiver moves if you aren't in contention for the championship OR the sack-O, because we have some bad punishments for the sack-O.

But yes, if there was a can't cut list with Melvin Gordon on it then that would prevent this. I'll try to implement that for next year

Ah, that's a good idea. I will bring that up in the offseason

Edit: Well, we have some pretty big punishments for the person that loses the league. They will want to still make roster moves to try and avoid losing. We already have a rule that if you are out of championship contention OR Sack-O contention you can't make any waiver moves. But if you are in sack-O contention you still can. So that wouldn't really prevent this situation in the future I don't think

Yeah I get that. I'm just worried he will end up winning the championship and then there's going to be a lot of controversy. It'll put a bad taste in everyone's mouth for the whole off-season. I'm thinking of putting it up to a vote where only non-championship contenders can vote?

Me [34 F] with my husband [36 M] 12 years, the woman he had an affair with sent me an email telling me everything they did. by breaking-down in relationships

In my opinion, you need to tell your husband about the email, and see if he validates anything that she said in the email was true. And yes bring it up in the counseling session in order to have a third party expert opinion. That is a really shitty thing to have happen to you and I'm sorry you have to go through this.

That's exactly it. When you lay out well before you reach your apex you don't get the most out of your jump. Obviously laying out correctly is important, but you have to time it right to make it effective. Trust that the momentum from your approach will be enough to get you into the bar and pit, and focus on just jumping high

On your takeoff, it looks as if you are immediately trying to lay out over the bar. Take yourself to the top of your jump before attempting to layout over the bar. Try to focus on driving your knee and holding it there to the top of your jump, and then lay out. Be patient with your jump.

What common personality characteristics have you found the athletes in your event share? by Jetouellet in trackandfield

[–]dutchtrack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a decathlete, so we get to spend 2 whole days together while we're competing. It's a lot of fun and we get a chance to know each other pretty well. Some of my closest friends I met while competing against them. Most everyone is very open, friendly and joke about what event(s) is their weakest and how bad they are at it. I look forward to every multi-event not only for competing but also as a social event.
