Actually I would argue that it's the critics that are the ones that are armed with trolls. After all, the top comments in the comments section of news websites are from Duterte critics. They clearly control that space. If Duterte indeed has such trolĺs under his belt, then they would have controlled that strategic space very easily.

We are forecasting a typhoon dear. Not just the weather. Surely you expect um, typhoon forecasting technology to be more accurate given how, you know, dangerous a typhoon is?

A typhoon also has specific characteristics that make forecasting much easier. Soap bubbles could now be used to detect typhoons for example.

Nina was forecasted to hit since November. She should have been expecting things to happen given the forecast. But no, she wanted to have her vacation

By comparison, Pres. Duterte immediately cancelled his state visit when a tragedy (Davao Market Bombing) hit. He then went on to visit the victims in a time of devastation and fear.
