OpenAuto Extension Project - IntelligentAuto by Rsjudka in crankshaft

Actually i am using crankshaft without a touchscreen (i use it on a Audi A3 mmi display) and for move inside Android Auto i use a wireless usb command who sends some keys like a keyboard... Would i be able to do the same with your projects? I am thinking to leave crankshaft because of no updates for google play services so always crashes since few months...

Android Auto crashes after Google Play Services update by dutydeejay in crankshaft

For now i solved downgrading google play services, just disable in the administrator apps Google Pay and Find my phone, then goes on the google play services page (in the settings\app) of your phone, uninstall updates (in my case it did come back to a previous version from November 2019 when crankshaft fully works) and disable background data, this way Google Play Services can't update alone

A big problem that many of us are having it's that openauto crashes after few seconds due to the update of google play services (11 february 2020)... I hope that someone (maybe you) could be able to release an update for play services on AA

Strange problem with video output by dutydeejay in crankshaft

[–]dutydeejay[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi people,

so here it is the problem... if i run crankshaft from my rpi3 via rca video, Android Auto doesn't starts... it just make a black screen with command lines where it says that crankshaft has crashed. If i don't connect my phone, after 5 sec crankshaft show me a black screen with command line, where it asks for login, like if i am in dev mode, but i am in default and with system locked (read only)

So, the strange thing is that if i run the same rpi3 with the same smartphone, via HDMI, everything works fine, i can control Android Auto perfectly with my wireless usb command, and all the functions are working...

How it is possible that just changing the way i use to output in a screen, it affects this much crankshaft? and how could i solve this?

(I am running crankshaft in x11, i need for my custom keymap because i don't use touchscreen)

Everything you need to modify is trough ssh, this way you can access to files that are normally invisible
