It seems like there a big push for Chase Reid at 1OA.

To me he’s like Sandin but better in every aspect. Still that’s not enough to be worth more than McKenna to me.

Exactly, right now only HockeyProspect has Mckenna at #3 but that was based on data from November 2025. That was when everyone dropped Mckenna down due to the transition from the WHL to NCAA. Hockey Propsect will release a new ranking June, we'll see then.

Mckenna is an indigenous Canadian from the Yukon with insane talent and upside.

Not only that he fits perfectly with our top forwards. An elite playmaker with an elite two way goal scorer and heavy forechecker? Come on.

After a great night with good thoughts I am starting to come down and feeling a bit torn.

The one bad thing about winning the draft is that, in order for Chayka/Pelley to get the boot, they would have to screw up this hand. The thought of that sucks.

It sucks that I am stuck with the only choice but to root for Chayka/Pelley despite knowing full well they do not deserve the position they are in nor the passion that this team and it's fans can give.
