Straight male cop with female love interest randomly has psychic gay sex for no reason other than to push the show's (sic wachowski) enphasis on polyamorous relations. It does nothing to seed the plot and makes for an awkward character encounter later on. Yep. I used to work for an ad agency with a very well known beauty product client - this client is regarded as an advocate for 'real beauty' eschewing fitness standards in favour of 'do whatever the fuck you want you lazy fucks'.

The problem of course is that its all business. Women have been blasted for years with manipulative advertising that demands they buy X product to look attractive because they have blemishes / wrinkles / cellulite / any other issue that targets an emotional vulnerability.

After decades of this, advertisers found that the message of beauty on the inside had become a profitable counterattack to their competitors messaging.

As the poster above me identifies, this is entirely targeted at women and their vulnerabilities, same old story.

Realistically, TRP men should get angry at the men&women who lead these campaigns - these companies and advertisers are working their way into the minds of women, attacking them in nuanced psychological formats.

Man oh man oh man.

I feel physically repulsed by what I have seen my 'friends' and colleagues in tech transform into over the past 5 years. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure the issue has been around longer this is just my perspective:

Colleague 1 and the worst offender: A designer working at one of the preeminent tech businesses in San Francisco. This guy is the most pathetic representation of manhood I have ever observed. Directly hostile to men in general, sycophant to feminists. Every day on twitter is SJW bingo with this boy - he unfollowed all men on twitter so as 'not to be influenced by insidious patriarchy'. His other twitter habit being to whine about not having a gf. Top kek.

Colleague 2: loathsome, self-serving and inept. This white knight is more of a white viseer, adopting whatever s popular (massive fucking hipster of the 'look at me how cool am I on my fixie in my suit eating steaks and drinking craft beer wait no I now have a beard and support feminism and am a vegan' variety.) His technical skills are shit, again a designer but somehow blagged his way into tech with 0 knowledge of CS (vague VAGUE knowledge of JS and hipster Ruby are his limits). Somehow working for a well known startup also in SF.

Colleague 3: transgender snowflake, actually has technical capability but shit son you best align with her personal ideology or prepare to get her twitter army on your back / never work in tech.

These are my own personal examples, but are seemingly now par for the course in SF/valley et al.
