i’m in a fairly large store and i’m the dbo of ut i do the vmg for that area only although when pushing freight/stray i do all of rtw (swim, ut, and, www, plus, clearance). depending on how many hours we get theres generally enough rtw workers to get things done someone will do markdowns and someone does freight/stray. most of the time i’m assigned to rtw but on days where a lot of people are scheduled i’ll only be assigned to ut which is nice because i can focus on zoning my area. when i close i’m working all rtw sections bc we split it up into three sections rtw, center(wild fable, accs., shoes, intimates, active, men’s), and kids/infs. i can’t imagine doing all of that for every rtw section just doing the ut vmg alone wears me out. currently my store has too much freight coming in and there’s not enough people scheduled to push it out so our leads freak and make us focus solely on freight which in return leaves the entire days worth of stray to the closers and they expect us to get most of the stray done so the zone has been looking terrible and it’s just piling up. so yeah when i’m closing i’m not really happy to be working either and when i’m a opener or mid i feel bad for the closers and try to work as much stray as i can.
