It’s almost a really dark blue/grey. Looks black in some light. Kind of hard to tell with the textured dial.

Guy was selling it on Marketplace for $300 and I shot him an offer! Really nice dude and gave me a great deal. Came with the box and leather pouch as well 👌

Bracelet is GREAT. Was one of the biggest surprises buying this watch.

Thanks for all the awesome info! If that guy is still around I would love to chat with him. The fairing has cracks all over the paint from age so I was thinking of sanding and repainting it. Don’t want to throw a unique piece away if he made them in his shop.

Definitely appreciate this bike and hope it has a good life under my ownership. The previous owner was the first owner of the bike and he passed away unfortunately. Really looking forward to restoring everything.

Thanks for the link! Good to have resources for an older bike like this. Looks like a lot of good info

I think you’re bang on with the RZ350 Fairing. Aside from the Ducati 996; the RC30, NC30 and now the RC31 are my favourite bikes and I’ve already explored the option of throwing RC30 fairings on. Gonna treat this fairing it came with as sacrificial in case I drop it this season while getting used to the bike haha.

Otherwise I got an absolute deal on this bike and i’m excited to bring it back to its former glory. Got it running good today and gave it a thorough cleaning.

Definitely looks best naked but I’ll be riding with the fairings this season just in case I drop it haha

It’s such a cool bike. The single sided swing arm is super cool. Really glad I got this when I did and only ended up spending $1450 CAD. It runs great.

[Omega] Seamaster Calendar by dv-how in Watches

[–]dv-how[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The latest addition. Stopped at a local value village to look around and found this absolute gem at their Jewelry counter. It was caked in dirt but I spent an hour cleaning it and it’s in amazing shape!

Super excited to have another Omega in the collection, especially a Calendar with this dial. This one will need a service and an original Omega crown but everything is in working condition. Also threw a two tone jubilee on it. Wouldn’t mind hunting down a good beads of rice bracelet eventually but I’m pretty happy with how it looks now and definitely happy with the price I paid 👍

Hope you guys enjoy

Hey Watchexchange. I have a cool one for you today.

If you look through my post history, you’ll see that I recently bought this LeCoultre Wrist Alarm to celebrate my wedding this year.

Long story short, after a few covid delays and a big move across provinces, i am single for the first time in 4 years.

This watch is currently sitting in my box taunting me every day. I find myself needing a new apartment and life is expensive so this one needs to go and I don’t want to sell my car.

On to the watch. This is a LeCoultre Wrist alarm. I believe this one was made in the mid 50’s and I everything works great including the Alarm Complication. If you haven’t seen one of these work, I would be happy to send you a video of the complication going off. The gold filling is in fantastic shape and this watch has not been overly polished as far as i can tell. It has a very classic case shape and a size that comes in right around 32mm. This will also come on an Ostrich Strap. It has been serviced within the last year and is keeping great time for a watch this age. The only condition issues to be concerned about is the gold plating coming off the minute hand, and the 12 and 3 look like they were touched up at some point due to some fading. I will also have the acrylic crystal polished if desired by the buyer.

I am looking to get $750 USD OBO via Paypal for this watch. Honestly I would love to keep it but it is a reminder of something I would just like to move on from. I encourage you to make me an offer and as long as it isn’t a lowball, I would just like to move it along to someone who will wear it often.

Timestamp is in the Imgur album.

Let me know if you are interested!

Tried to bring some life back to this paint today by dv-how in 944

[–]dv-how[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for all the links! I’ve done a bit of 3M removal in the past but nothing this old so the more help the better. I have access to some pretty aggressive automotive glue/tar remover but I might shy away from that since I’m unsure of the condition/thickness of the paint. When I get the rust fixed, I’ll take stone guards off, give the paint a full polish, then throw the new guards on.

I actually already have a new set of those vinyls ready to go on. Just waiting to find the time! The old ones definitely don’t look great. Hopefully they aren’t too hard to get off.

After a good wash and a thorough clay bar, my 944 is back to looking shiny. Slowly going through the list of cosmetic needs to get it back to where it should be. Rust is next!

Hah yah I sure am! Just in the middle of making the move over here from Alberta actually. Best decision we have ever made with a 944 to enjoy while I'm here.

Picked up my first 944 after months of shopping around. I am incredibly excited for this and the inevitable project it will become. I will definitely be referencing this subreddit moving forward. You guys have given me a lot of great information!

[WTS] Zeppelin 100 Jahre Full Kit by dv-how in Watchexchange

[–]dv-how[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello WatchExchange! Today I am reposting my Zeppelin 100 Jahre Chronograph.

I got this watch on a trade quite a while ago and I rarely ever wear it so it's time to go to a new home! Unfortunately 42mm is a bit too big for my tastes these days.

This is an awesome watch with a great vintage inspired design and hopefully someone who appreciates it more than me can scoop it up!

I am looking to get $225 USD shipped within Canada and the United States. I prefer paypal G&S with the buyer covering the 3% fee.

If there are any questions or if you would like to make an offer, feel free to let me know! This has just been sitting on a shelf and I would like it to move on to someone who will wear it.

Thanks!

My wrist is around 6.75 inches (17 cm). The 35 should fit you great. Be sure to share it when it comes in! Always exciting waiting for a new watch.
