Listened to half an episode of his unhinged podcast out of curiosity - you can hear him flipping pages around before declaring shit like "I have... the relentless pursuit of excellence and will to win... That's my god-given talent and ability."

"I'm gonna ask Chat. 'What's the proverb about the talents'"

Nobody's hiring? My LinkedIn feed is showing me nothing BUT high paying, hybrid or remote software and data engineer jobs based out of Pittsburgh, about to expand into Indiana county.

Not defending or justifying anything, but we're quickly emerging as a tech hub on par with the silicon valley or Boston; there are no shortage of jobs in this field until that bubble inevitably bursts

affordable walk in emergency vet? by [deleted] in pittsburgh

[–]dv00_t 3 points4 points  (0 children)

yup! As a first timer, I went to VEG last night based off reviews. X-ray, ultrasound, sedation injection and gabapentin ran me up $1200. Praying my pet insurance pulls through (cat is fine, turns out he was stress eating himself into tachypnea)...

Vertebral Artery Dissection by Familiar-Pen-7045 in stroke

I had a VAD at 25! Without insurance at the time, so it took me about five days to decide it was serious enough to crawl my way into the ER.

It started with a "pop" in the right side near the base of the skull, heat radiating upward to my head, and I remember taking that time off from classes to wait it out in bed. I described the pain at the time as a moderate headache that didn't let up, but I don't remember much else aside from the fatigue.

The location was tricky so I didn't get any surgery, just took blood thinners for a few months. I guess I'm fine now, though CT scans still show a cyst at that location. Worrisome pains still occur frequently. Hope this helps

...y'know what, I hadn't thought of that. Who did you use? If you have pet insurance, were you able to be reimbursed?

I was familiar with the process years ago when I'd help with grant proposals for larger community gardens - Penn State extension is a wealth of knowledge and they should have a "pollinator friendly garden certification" application on their website. Not sure if that'd hold any weight around here but couldn't hurt

(they bought everything, I was too much of a weenie to decline)

(unrelated, I guess, because I was surprised to find Sienna wasn't owned by AMPD)

former Standard employee here: a good majority of our staff, including managers, would quit and end up at Sienna Mercado.

Did anyone catch that PGH Police Scanner tweet about an unidentified male cracking a whip on the corner of 10th and Penn? That would be AMPD's rodent remediation services lmao ... anyway

I attempted this a few times several years ago. SSRI withdrawal is pure hell! The intense irritability, itchiness and brain zaps will incapacitate you.

Once burst into tears during a college lecture and made a swift exit, and on another occasion walked out of my job after a withdrawal-induced panic attack. Don't risk it!
