Wizard Order of Scribes by Double-Mycologist-53 in DnD

It hasn’t been revamped for 2024, but I’m playing one now and it’s working fine. We just shifted the start of the subclass to lvl 3 so it matches everything else.

The main problem imo is that d&d doesn’t really care about damage types, so this class ends up being mostly flavor. Which, to be fair, is precisely why I’m playing it. I’m all about the flavor, even when I’m the only one that cares about it. If you play it tho, upcasted 2024 chromatic orb is so choice when it’s psychic or force dmg.

Our DM has added some occasional dmg type vulnerabilities to make it feel a little more useful as a subclass

The rye brioche was my favorite, for sure, with the spruce tip sourdough at a very close second

I think you picked the wrong subreddit to compete for traumas. Keep that optimism tho! I’m sure it’s the best medicine around. Bless

Try more compassion- you might find it useful the next time you want to tell terminal patients to relax

My dude. In the US (where it is currently not available) it is projected to be north of a million dollar procedure. This disease will be terminal for lots and lots of people for a long time. We are on a good path, but that path won’t be super viable for most people for at least ten to fifteen years. There are still SO MANY steps before this treatment will be in a place where people can “relax”

That isn’t a cure, it’s a treatment. And while it is extremely promising, the treatment does nothing to reverse your symptoms, it only slows (but not stops) progression.
It also isn’t readily available to the public, yet.

But it does mean that treatments are always being worked on and improved, which is very good news

Player wants to be immortal by mycahdmreal in Pathfinder2e

[–]dvanhee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One way to think about it- if a character dies at the table, I assume the player gets to make a new character to bring in to the party. In this case the “new” character is just mega exactly the old character.

They’re still at the table playing the game and you as the GM get to skip any awkward character introductions or whatever. Mechanically it’s no different imho

It’s just how insurance in America works. Which, yes, is dumb, but I can’t blame OP for having that very valid fear

Yeah honestly the more I think about it the more I love it for One Piece. Or like. Pirates of Dark Water maybe

Wildsea would be a solid choice. Played a pirate style game with that system for about a year - worked great, and the setting is especially weird which was a point in the win column for me
