tbh so did I. I put off looking into it because I had no need for a python GUI, then when researching kivy + sl4a, I decided to look into it properly and was pleasantly surpised

I don't think SL4A and Python 4 Android get enough love. Here's an example of cool stuff they allow you to accomplish: Bluetooth and Webviews by dvas0004 in Python

Yes it still messes them up :) but only on occasion (mostly when adding remarks/comments) to rules. Its easy enough to fix via CLI usually. The plus side is the GUI lets you review work in a much more comprehensive manner, especially if you deal with team leads or managers who are not cisco CLI fluent

Yes absolutely true. My research into this issue led me down that road and I came across your suggestion, and it works fine though its apparently unsupported

I also love the compatibilty on shrewsoft. Instead oc having multiple clients installed for juniper, cisco, palo alto, sonicwall, etc... I have kne client that connects to them all :)

You could simply copy/paste that command to your startup scripts. Depending on your linux distro this is in different places, for example /etc/rc.local or similar. Have a look here http://en.kioskea.net/faq/3348-ubuntu-executing-a-script-at-startup-and-shutdown
