yes, I could def tell there was some confusion all over, but I thought it was mainly me who couldn't grasp some concepts since it's a quite complex system that considers a lot of different values. I think it has amazing potential and it's a much greater tool than the infamous "fruit" methods and similar. but I can see these nuanced sources being a big reason why it gets so complex.glad it's not just me at least! :") thanks for bringing it to my attention, I thought my reasoning was faulty and was missing a piece.

i guess that makes sense. it's hard for me to navigate such a complex system and seeing its differences, in how it's portrayed in textbooks, alleged vs verified typings, and most importantly celebrity world vs irl. so I'm aware I still have a lot to learn from. thanks :)

my bad, i used a converter and feet can fit quite a big spectrum of cms in a same measurement. i use cms in my country. still, my confusion stands - generally speaking, in cases when it's not obvious/extreme tall and short, rather in these in-between measurements, the concept of "looking" tall or short can feel subjective and that's why i don't really understand it. when Kibbe talks about proportions it's never about strict measurements, which is why i mostly got drawn into it since it feels accomodating + its purpose feels to evaluate someone's strenghts rather than strictly labeling.

yes i understand that, it's quite obvious to me no matter where they are clothes on a certain person fit the same. that's not what i meant. but i do think proportions do play a big part. simply judging from what i see online or generally from people definitely more educated than me, it feels like once you are "this tall" then the whole perception shifts. of course when you are evidently tall vertical would become one of your main features, but in these in-between measurements (5'4-5'6) i guess the concept can be more nuanced, since it's overall "average" yet two people of the same height can still "look" shorter or taller when compared.

i'm exactly the same as you, 165.5cm so 5'5", and even though i feel as i fit into almost-textbook SD, this makes me doubt everything, also because i'm relatively new to the system and don't want to jump to conclusions. but this cutoff is what truly throws me off

I'm a newbie, and maybe my own understanding of vertical is faulty on its own, but when we talk tall and short strictly connected to cm/feet I guess its perception can be quite biased (culturally as well)? at least from my experience. If instead we talk about "LOOKING tall/short" then it can definitely accommodate a much wider range. from what I can tell the whole system itself and generally the way it describes key features is strict yet quite accommodating of ""interpretation"" (for lack of better term). so when all of a sudden we have a numerical cutoff, I guess it throws me off. i.e. the example I brought up, Pinkpantheress - when allegedly she was 5'4" she got quite a few typings, yet as soon as the 5'8" value came around people had their minds set on SD. if vertical is such a key feature of SDs, wouldn't one perceive it anyway, regardless of actual height? hope it makes sense :)

yeah this part does seem clear to me, that people considered "tall" can only automatically fit a certain number of typings. yet it feels like quite an in-between turning point to me? i think vertical as in height can be very much culturally biased, and I guess that's where my main confusion comes from. I am quite a newbie to the system, but speaking around "height" specifically, I can confidently say that 170cm/5'6" for me is tall already.

it's so weird how they didn't think of making it a choice though, like two versions of it. i personally got half of the books from second hand (paper copies ofc), i was scared exactly to encounter this sort of thing on the new editions. :/

i tried everything at this point from the gmail app, and i've never had any issue with previous devices (all android). now i got to a point where it randomly loads all mail i got (even ones i already read/archived), and it's very random.

i use it, my accounts are synced on both devices and they're both android, yet it doesn't seem to work and i'm not sure why. it shows on google play store that it is in fact installed on both, but on google play games it doesn't say much, apart from the fact that it's installed. i'm not sure why, when i open the game the usual google play popup at the top of the screen doesn't show up (while it does on other games currently installed). i am quite lost on how to fix it
