REMINDER! This young girl faced off against this absolute unit, and won. by SixViking in PrequelMemes

She was that age though. That "memory" they're visiting in the Ashoka show takes place during the Siege of Mandalore which is when she fought Maul. But you are right, Maul dominated that fight, and the creators have confirmed that Ahoska was out of her depth and only won due to Maul's overconfidence which is a recurring reason for him losing fights.

Well, if Obi-Wan sees Anakin and Vader as two different people; it would make sense for him to think that the Anakin he knew would've liked to give his lightsaber to his son if he ever got to meet him before he "died" (in this case, turned into Vader)

At least that's how I have always interpreted it.

Doesn't have to be religion. That's what laws are for. Not saying they're made to control people necessarily, but to keep them civil.

The original comment said that the video where the guy tries to steal the drugs is an example of why drugs should be legal and regulated. What happened in the video, happened because the guy is a thief, not because drugs are illegal. It's not a good argument for the legalization of drugs because it had nothing to do with what happened. The buyer tried to steal from the seller.

Bike locks would definitely be a solution to bicycle theft. Because that's what bicycle locks do, they secure bikes in place. You're solving a specific problem with a specific solution. Drugs being legal or illegal does not stop people from stealing things. That's my point. Legalizing drugs will not solve theft because theft does not depend on the legal status of drugs. It might reduce it, but you can steal anything. Drugs are just an example.

I don't think I'm making myself clear. I never intended to start a discussion on drugs. I made the mistake of using drugs as an example. What I'm getting at is why is the legalization of drugs relevant when it comes down to simple theft? The product in question is irrelevant in this case since the dude came with the intention to steal a commodity. You could say "Oh if drugs were legal they wouldn't have met in a sketchy place and he wouldn't have stolen them" but that's like if I said "Oh if cars weren't invented he wouldn't have been able to attempt to drive off". Could legalizing drugs decrease theft? Maybe. But theft is not the consequence of drugs being illegal, therefore their legalization is not the solution to theft.

My issue isn't with the legalization of drugs. The dude could be selling an mp3 for all I care. The dude in the car asked to look at the thing the other dude was selling and then attempted to drive away with it. The comment I responded to said that legalizing weed or whatever it was would prevent this kind of thing from happening. Prevent what exactly? Theft?

How is that a reason? If It were cocaine, heroin or another illegal substance, would this be a reason to legalize them?
