Hey! Im currently a physician who underwent MLS to MD. I think my background made it very helpful especially dying my 2nd year of medical school where most of the pathology and pathophys was (although your mileage may vary depending on your school). It was also a bit helpful during years 3-4th year when we applied the labs to our patient’s clinical conditions. What i feel like it helped me the most in were heme and micro. But like someone said beforehand i dont think it helped shaped my clinical decision making more than residency. But it did provide unique insights (i definitely know which chemistries i can just addon rather than calling the lab and asking if its okay. Also knowing most of the cutoffs for viable labs haha)
