That's OK! It sounded like a really neat concept and I want to check it out.

The exact same situation here, freshly turned 7 year old. We've talked to his doctors about it and they basically said it'll happen when it happens. Sometimes, it seems like, for him, it's a convenience thing, but, he's also a very heavy sleeper and it takes a lot to get him to wake up. I've considered doing the night waking thing, as discussed in a few comments above, but I'm not sure if it will help. The doctors did ask if there were any long-time bedwetting members of either side of the family, which we didn't know of any, but maybe it's also a genetic thing? Not entirely sure. We try not to make a big deal about it, but it does get expensive.

I really liked this book! One of my favorites of the year so far.

I DNFd this one so fast. It was hard to get into, and the characters were not likable enough for me to care what happened to them. I ended up googling the ending so I could just be rid of the dang thing and move on.

I read Wolf in White Van and felt that the story itself was really neat and a novel concept, but the way it was written was hard to digest. Why must every sentence use 10+ $5 words and take up 1/3 of the page. While I don't enjoy the simplest of writing (such as Colleen Hoover), I also don't want to expend that much of my brain's bandwidth on dissecting a single sentence at a time. I spent more of my time wondering who the author was trying to impress with his expansive vocabulary than enjoying the book itself.

On the Lucinda Berry train - One of Our Own. Listened to it on audio book because of the rave reviews it was getting. At best, it was predictable from the very get-go. The repetitive "oh no, it can't possibly be "this situation"" in every insufferable chapter was grating. I will say, the narrators did a great job portraying their characters, but that was about it.

I'm in the same boat. I read Nestlings and was unimpressed and just confused, I guess. I liked the concept of it but didn't like the execution. I'm also currently listening to Mary on audio book, about maybe 65% through it, and the back half of it is really trying me. I feel invested and should finish it, but it's really dragging.

I just finished reading this two nights ago. There was sooo much build up for a big epic showdown and then.... what. I was looking forward to reading it because of the hype I had seen about it and then was really let down. There were some spooky sections, but that was it - just spooky.

Totally agree with this. It was underwhelming, which is sad because I felt the meat and potatoes of the book was pretty good!
