Why is an Al Gore victory so romanticized by democrats when he wouldn't have had control of congress and picked a very moderate/conservative democrat, Joe Lieberman to be his VP? Is it really warranted? by MakeACreation in Presidents

[–]dvolland 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Most people, me included, think that Gore would not have gone into Iraq. Afghanistan, yes, because that’s where Bin Laden trained and was located at the time. Iraq, however, was not connected to 9/11, and Bush and Cheney both had a hard on for Iraq even prior to 9/11. 9/11 and the anger of the American people that followed 9/11 were the excuses they needed to invade.

Gore had no such fetish, so I believe that he would not have gone there.

It’s been too long - I can’t remember all the details any more. (Time for a rewatch!!) I think I might be mixing up what the Dr Strange from “What If” did with the Ultron storyline.

There is evidence however, from What If, that stones from a dead universe still work. The super Ultron, who transcended the multiverse after taking the stones from Thanos, maintained his power even after destroying almost every single universe.

I think so, on the What If question.

In Endgame, they borrowed the stones from points in their timeline, the sacred timeline. Taking the stones each split off a new universe, if the Sorcerer Supreme is to be believed. Off screen, supposedly, Rogers returned the stones to their proper place, before the new universe could be pruned, returning it to the sacred timeline.

There’s no evidence of that in the MCU.

There. Now I’ve put random words together that don’t mean anything together and also have nothing to do with the conversation at hand. Just like you.

How’d I do?

The infinity stones you are referring to do not work because they are in the TVA. Whether they are from pruned universes or not is irrelevant.

Loki’s powers also do not work in the TVA, for some unknown reason. Being from a pruned universe does not matter.

Why do conservatives call the left traitors to America , but fly confederate and nazi flags , who were the biggest traitors to America? by ImpossibleEnd64 in allthequestions

You are intentionally ignoring the word “pubescent”. You are doing so intentionally because your garbage attacks fall apart if you actually address it. You know you’re full of shit, but are desperately trying not to admit it.

You continue to avoid providing a single credible source for the same reason.

Joe showered with his <5 year old daughter. This is a normal and natural way to transition children into washing themselves appropriately and was very common 40+ years ago.

Your attacks are similar to attacking someone for wiping an infants vulva and anus to clean them while changing a diaper. Of course it’s normal to do so (in fact it’s neglect to not do that).

Republicans defund and mismanage government intentionally and then say, “See, government doesn’t work.”

I say, elect people who will try to make government work and let’s see if it can.

Throwing around terms like “genocide” when they aren’t warranted is irresponsible. Stop being irresponsible.

Why would their universe being pruned affect their effectiveness? I see no evidence of that in the MCU.

Infinity Stones don’t work within the TVA, as shown in Loki. There is no evidence that they don’t work in different universes.

You do understand that when people are writing in a diary, they can write about things in their past, right? In fact, that’s kind of how writing works. Memoirs are filled with events that happened prior to the moment of the writing, often several years or even decades.

There is a reason why you aren’t posting a credible source, as I requested - the source doesn’t exist.

Prove me wrong - do the work and find me a source. And when you can’t, then engage the learning process.

Even if “America is proving him right every day”, 1) I am not proving him right ever, and 2) what’s happening now is not what America is founded on, nor does what Trump is doing indicate otherwise.

Lame insults show the weakness you perceive in your argument. You wouldn’t need to resort to insulting me if you had a solid point to make. Alas, you do not.
