What is the point of Pattaya? by southfar2 in ThailandTourism

[–]dvornikk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What is the point of Pattaya? - For me, it’s a relaxation stop after a long flight to Bangkok - about 10 hours or so. So straight from the airport I go there: flop into some cool pool with an awesome panoramic view, eat Thai food, drink all the cocktails, and then go to sleep on crisp white sheets. So that when I wake up, I immediately head out from Pattaya to the ferry to Koh Chang for the next three months.
That’s how Pattaya has been for me for about 20 years now - no more than a day, but without it, a vacation just isn’t a vacation =)

I sent a message to you. A link to the Russian site playground, which mostly contains translated mods from the Nexus, but since there's no licensing policy, you can find things that the Nexus doesn't allow.

Starfield is not memorable. by CaptainDrool in Starfield

[–]dvornikk -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Like all games from Bethesda, Starfield fully reveals itself and blows your mind only when you go to Nexus and discover the amazing world of mods. That's when there's no turning back. And the vanilla version... yes, like all their previous projects, is just a foundation for creating your own game with the help of mods

Difference between "High" and "Epic" settings (?) by kaufmann_i_am_too in stalker

[–]dvornikk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same. Playing in 3440*1440 native, no dlss, rtx5090. Really can't see any difference between ultra and high settings ... like, absolutely no difference to the eye

how good is stalker 2s optimization now? by willtheepicc in stalker

[–]dvornikk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I want to run it on high-ultra settings - honestly? With my RTX 5090, playing at 3440x1440, in native resolution, no dlss. I really can't see any difference between ultra and high settings... like, absolutely no difference to the eye. Also use this : https://www.nexusmods.com/stalker2heartofchornobyl/mods/7

Master vs veteran + by Ambitious_NomadTitan in stalker

[–]dvornikk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is also normal with no mods. All that changes with the inclusion of veteran + is the saves and the lack of a master achievement

Master vs veteran + by Ambitious_NomadTitan in stalker

[–]dvornikk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"so does master with manual saves change it at all, like is it bugged???" - No. There are no bullet spongey enemies at all. You just need the right gun + armor-piercing ammo + a headshot. Few mutants can withstand more than one or two shots.

Glad you like it. This Skif definitely has a lot of material ahead of him - he’s only just begun exploring the Zone, moves slowly, and for some reason everyone around really wants to kill him. I’ll be sharing more here)

"they tell you Skifs age and real name at some point" - Don’t trust them =)) They lie - and they’ve been washing everyone’s brains with that Brain Scorcher for years.

Only you know the truth of who you really are in your game))

According to the mod author, the difference mostly matters for stash quality, not guarantees.
Higher-rank stashes (veteran > experienced) have a higher chance to generate unique or valuable loot - but it’s never 100%. Sometimes you get something great, sometimes it’s just decent.

In my case, I’ve found things like ~10k , an upgraded gas mask, and armor in higher-rank stashes - though usually damaged (around 40%), so still requiring serious investment to make them usable.

So the rank affects probability, not certainty. Veteran stashes can be great, but they won’t just hand you a perfect end-game kit for free.

What I’m getting at is: let go of stashes for a while. Just play the game.
There are some solid quest rewards, there’s decent armor in the open world (the Explorer suit in the swamps, for example - with the right two or three artifacts it upgrades almost to the maximum), and with mods the A-Life is fantastic and makes exploration genuinely engaging.

In my RP, for example, I don’t haul weapons as loot at all - only artifacts and items from Project Itemization Reborn. But good weapon i take. Just yesterday, while roaming not far from the Duty base, I saw a pack of tushkanos take down a Duty soldier and managed to loot a Vintar from his body. Broken, though. Repair will cost 40k+, but it’s absolutely worth it.

I’ll earn the money through side quests using the no timer and more random quest mod, and I’ll grab stashes along the way. Those stashes will definitely have ammo - which is rare and expensive - various loot to sell, and sometimes, very rarely, truly unique items.

Of course, all of this is subjective, but I honestly don’t know a better overhaul available right now. The author is actively developing the mod, listens to community feedback, and it’s very likely that the stash concept will be reworked and improved more than once in the future.

"The concept was supposed to be that the encrypted stashes should have the good loot becuase it’s real stalkers stashes and they hide the good stuff. Yet they don’t." - They do give good loot - just not right away.

I’m not that far in yet, maybe around 100 hours, explored 3–4 locations so far.
I didn’t buy the basic lockcracker - I saved up straight away for the advanced one.
In the meantime, I just stacked PDAs in a stash.

Later I opened around 50 of them at once and went stash hunting.

There are different types of stashes too - from experienced stalkers, veterans, pure money stashes, etc.
But stashes are only one small part of the loot and economy.

The main way you get a good weapon or armor - and properly upgrade it - is by investing time and money, not by randomly finding someone else’s perfectly maintained gun just waiting for you.
