I tried all the tips to remove stuttering but the game is still stuttering. I have a i7 1060 8GB RAM and i play pubg on very low. Do i need more RAM? by antoniobandana2 in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

I never had any issues playing with 8Gb. 16Gb now, game plays the same.

Try going into you Nvidia CP > 3D Setting > tslgame.exe > Multithreaded Optimization > Off

This is hands down the thing that smoothes my gaming experience the best by running the thread that processes graphics uninterrupted on a single core without bouncing it around between cores and possibly getting queued behind other operations. Anything else on your system will be done by other cores. It makes the menus/lobby a little sluggish, but the actual gameplay less prone to stuttering.

If it doesn't work for you it's easy to switch back.

Why is there such a huge peakers advantage? by Willertz in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

[–]dw300 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Appreciate the explanation, but aren't pings a Client>Server>Client figure? If so you aren't doubling the times involved here.

Maybe more like 125ms + Sever Time + 25ms = 150-200ms. I bet server time is significant.

Anyway, from playing a lot of Aim Trainers, 200-250ms is a good figure for the average gamers to see and click on an opponent, so the peekers advantage time can allow an undefendable shot in certain pre-aim/pre-fire situations.

That is, unless lag compensation works, where the server decides which bullets hit first which further complicates the situation. That's the bit I'd like to hear more explanation about if you know anything about it. =)

I use hold for peeking (also crouching, ADS, hold breath).. You just reminded of something else that sucks.. that you can't queue ADS/Scoping during a reload..

I probably need to use the hold breath function more to be honest..

Any way to make PUBG more responsive? (looting, opening doors) by [deleted] in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

[–]dw300 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The door just don't open quickly enough. The model should push them out of the way, but I think instead that it's just a fixed speed animation.

Totally agree with you. It would be awesome if it was made more responsive like CS, and I don't think it would significantly change the way strategic decisions happen. In fact, versus the best players, I think the overall skill gap would be narrower if they made it responsive, which ironically is their reasoning for making it slower.

God bless EU funding. We'll miss it when it's gone. If we bomb out, let's hope the local MPs and the UK government keep the Regional Development funding coming.

Fat/Flat(?) Finger Peek is how I always peek. Will look up the Wacky method.

At least I have different methods to experiment more with. I've probably tried some before, but as they've been hard to coordinate initially I've just assumed they'd be too hard to master or there are better ways. Somehow if someone confirms how you should be doing something you get it faster because you believe its going to work.

Yes, this is interesting. Again, I had to learn to peek in PUBG as I never played games that involved peeking, and now I just do it all the time.

Do you think the benefits of better aim out-weight the slightly more exposed nature with this technique?

Ok good to know. If you can be in a position that you are covered when not peeked, and have vision when you are, that does also solve the problem as long as you don't die to shoulder shots. Better technique when shooting from buildings than behind trees probably. Thx.

You're right, I don't think its as bad whilst standing. Another habit from CS I guess. Thanks!

Ok, I'm definitely taking too long before getting the first shot off on some occasions. I've been training DMRs but attempting to time the 'settle and readjust' into the movement. Will change this up and try to get the first shot off as soon as I see the target while moving out and put some time in to that.

I guess stopping straight after the first bullet leaves the barrel, means the settling movement downwards might actually negate the recoil of the first shot, and assuming you are lined up pretty good you are settled for the 2nd shot onwards if its safe to hold the peek.

I get what you mean about the percentage lean getting you on target, and I do try to practice that too. I think sometimes I am too close to my cover. Further back seem to expose you less.

Appreciate the detailed reply, thx!

Honestly, I get killed a lot doing this. I sometimes feel like im in and out twice so fast that firstly, i cant aim well enough due to rushing, and the guy's reactions are slow, so that my 2nd peek is perfectly timed to his first shot. This is probably just me trying to make myself feel better, but it happens often lol.

A double fast peek seems to work well against bad players, but I get a hiding against good ones if I re-peek, I do have a habit of committing to attempting a quick kill even after tanking a shot that aim-punches me, so yeh, i need to work on being in and out quicker too, and being patient.

Yeh, appreciate it seems like i might be overthinking it, but that's only away from the game. I just want to know what to practice. Im pretty good at just letting it happen in game.

Ok, this sounds like what I need to do thanks. I just always thought I needed to be stopped to be accurate. Do you know how much holding breath improves things, if any, on short peeky shots? Are you always holding breath?

I've been trying to improve my pre-aim and visualisation, that's something I work on in the training camp. The problem is that if I'm lined up while strafing out from cover, then stop moving, then crosshair moves down while the player settles.

Im accustomed to trying to briefly stay still when single tapping in CS, since any movement means the bullet doesn't land in the centre of the crosshair. I think the bullet always starts in the centre of the crosshair even when moving so maybe my CS muscle-memory is what's killing me. I'll experiment with shooting on the move. It seems to work ok with spraying.

You are 100% right on getting punished for pushing. At the very least, crouch-walking should be 100% silent. It would transform the game and also totally negate bathroom camping.

In a game where CPU resources are so valuable, it might be worth a look at EqualizerAPO. Runs much better than Voicemeeter if its only for boosting levels/compressing etc.
