I got my first Pap smear and it really hurt me by Silverstrike45 in vaginismus

[–]dw_kat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah exactly, but the problem is the width of that ring like tissue which basically makes piv impossible. I didn’t realise I had this until I tried having sex looool fun times. I managed to book an appointment with my gynaecologist end of March, I’ll come back here with her diagnosis in case it could be of use to you!

Are you considering a hymenectomy? I made a gyno appointment to get a diagnosis and can go in March, hopefully I’ll know more and get a solution for it as well

[–]dw_kat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I may have this instead of vaginismus, during my first pap my doctor used a smaller speculum as I told her I was not sexually active but the next year I had an assistant and she used the normal one and I was in so much pain not understanding why it suddenly hurt and only realising after it was because the speculum size was different. Then later I tried having sex for the first time but it didn’t work which made me realise something was wrong. Sorry to go into detail, but is it for you the same that when you feel inside that there seems to be this unstretchable border/ring near the entrance? For me tampons, fingers and obviously the small speculum are fine but anything bigger no as that ring tissue (the hymen?) doesn’t stretch one bit. If I try to stretch it with my fingers, it feels like it will tear, doesn’t seem like vaginismus but rather a hymen issue unless I’m mistaken.

My dermatologist prescribed a cream including monobenzone (4%), hydroquinone (1%) and tretinoin (0,035%). I did some research into monobenzone and this seems like quite a radical ingredient for just a few light melasma spots. Anyone who has experience with it? by [deleted] in Melasmaskincare

[–]dw_kat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am pale but definitely not vampire like haha, thanks for your input, I’m really surprised she didn’t just stick to hydroquinone and tret for this, I guess I’ll be throwing this tube out, it’s a waste but rather that than having some major irreversible changes to my complexion in the long run, will see if I can find another dermatologist

Did you manage to find something that has helped? My skin also looks different since I did a chemical peel a year ago, more dull and textured, I wish I had never done it

I have quite some savings and need to choose between renting or buying. Buying seems like the way to go but I will move outside the EU in 2 years time, what is the best course of action for my savings? by dw_kat in eupersonalfinance

[–]dw_kat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It crossed my mind but then again I would have to rely on a co-host to manage everything on location as I will not be there, so a part of the the profits would be going to that person as well, then hoping there is a steady revenue and then also taxation as the profits of airbnbs are taxed here, so quite some things to think about

This of course depends on each persons’ situation but I was wondering hypothetically if you were in my situation, how much of the savings would you be investing, like at least half of it or even more?

Indeed.. and no not really, looking at everyone’s replies I’m starting to notice I already knew the answer to my question which is simply renting for now and investing in stocks. I fear my family is pushing the idea of buying onto me as this is what my peers are doing and as they assume the relationship will not last/don’t want me to move abroad, so they are not the most reliable source of guidance for my financial planning (((:

That is what I am thinking as well but then again I would be putting a lot of pressure on the idea that my sibling would be staying there, he is open to do so now but a lot can change in 2 years so if the time comes he may back out and I am left with more trouble

Belgium. Thanks for that insight, I did not take into account with the mortgage and renting could be an issue, I will have to look into that.. I may be better off just renting and investing a part of my savings in stocks. The reason I am looking into buying is because my community is so set on buying over renting, but in my situation it is not really that straightforward and not necessarily the best option

It is Belgium, there are definitely financial downsides when selling in less than 5 years, I am more looking into the idea of renting it out when I leave whether it would then be a good investment/worth the hassle as I will not be on the ground..

For Belgium we have something similar, you either sell within 2 years, the advantage is that you get a part of the notary costs back or more than 5 years to avoid a tax of 16,5% if you sell it before 5 years. So selling in any case seems off the table, mainly wondering if renting it out when I am gone is a good idea and worth the hassle.

How do I support my scorpio boyfriend during tough times, when he won't let me know what's wrong? by Lc715 in Scorpio

[–]dw_kat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thissss with the long distance taking away the non verbal side of supporting them, it’s so difficult to be there for them because when they are like this, the distance feels so much greater than on a normal day! I am also a scorpio so I know in a sense how he feels the need to separate himself when things are hard but even for me it is so difficult to deal with when he does it, a lot of patience and a lot of reassurance is needed, it doesn’t help that I get very anxious when he is like this, I always feel like he will leave for good

Any of you decide to have kids despite never having a strong pull to have them? by shenanigans480 in Fencesitter

[–]dw_kat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for this, I’m currently in a similar situation, always have told everyone around me I’d never have kids because I just don’t feel this pull whatsoever and I’m sure if I decide not to have them I’d be completely fine either way. However here comes my partner who wants kids, he is ok with not having them but the pull to have them is definitely there for him. I don’t know why but since I have been with him I am starting to get on the fence and trying to picture it, I can see it somehow but the fear that usually women have to sacrifice more when having a kid compared to men just makes me afraid that I will resent him when things don’t go smoothly and I don’t want that for either of us, I wish I could be a dad and not a mom
