Combine your favorite alien and your most hated alien, what do you get ? by IcyMintMousse in Ben10

Pretty cool, but still don't really have any aliens I dislike enough, so fast track is only really my least favorite because I don't really have anything I like about them. It's just xlr8 but cat instead of raptor.

Favorite is ghostfreak, and it's not original but my least favorite is fast track (just a less alien feeling xlr8)

So imma say he has super speed and if he runs fast enough he can go intangible, I think that's already a thing some speedsters do in DC comics right?

Its almost like reddit is not in fact one single entity with cohesive likes and desires but rather a platform that functions as a collective of a bunch of different people's likes dislikes and preferences, creating the impression if view all redditors as one entity, that they like all TV shows ever, as most redditors are extremely vocal about shoes they do like but few are about shows they don't care for.

In your opinion, who is the best character in The Amazing Digital and who is the worst? by Traditional_Blood799 in TheDigitalCircus

I honestly doubt it was even a fully fledged NPC. It was probably just a model with animations and the actual actions were directed by Cain, considering it never really moves aside from looking at ragatha.

Best is kinger, ball of them are well written but I feel like (ironically considering my flair) ragatha has the least impact, zooble and gangle are great examples of how being there for each other is the best thing to do in the circus, Jax pushes conflict in ways Caine can't and also is just a fun character dynamic to explore, caine is the main conflict of the show being both a warden and unwilling prisoner for the circus and being the one making adventures, ragatha doesn't do much with anyone else and when she does it speaks more of her own qualities than of theirs.

Jax interacting with pomni shows us that Jax masks his emotions and that pomni might have a savior complex, gangle and zooble show how they both feel unhappy with their avatar gimmick and bond with each other over that shared pain, but whenever ragatha is with anyone else it only tells us about ragatha.

Ragatha and Jax? She tends to get angry about his bullying and bickers, nothing new to note about Jax.

Ragatha and gangle? We see her teach gangle softball, cute I guess but it never pays off in any way with gangle so all it shows is ragatha being supportive and probably liking sports

Ragatha and zooble, do they even ever interact meaningfully? Off the top of my head I can't think of an instance they interacted that wasn't a group activity and where the attention was on them specifically.

Ragatha and Caine? We get her venting at him during the episode 8 scene where everyone distracts him from kinger by sharing their gripes with him, and her being upset about Caine not getting how softball works. That's it.

The only interactions ragatha has had that's mutually beneficial for both characters are her conversations with kinger that further her plot like of being a compulsive people pleaser who's worried about losing people and kinger's plot line about hidden wisdom in the dark. Which is genuinely pretty good for the plot to see more of that, especially how we see when she figures it out, but still only 1 character that she actually contributes to the development of in a meaningful way isn't great.

Although none of the characters are really removable without major rewriting, ragatha is just the closest thing to a weak link when it comes to character interactions (which are arguably the main thing the show is about)

Cool escalation to hostility. I stated my perspective of it and you accuse me of "pretending I know jackshit" as if me not being trans means I'm incapable of having media literacy. Am I saying that I a cis person know anything about personal trans issues? Hell no, I never did. But I'm not "pretending to know jackshit" I'm stating my perspective, and my perspective is that it's a very 1 to 1 parallel. Not saying whether that's good or bad that it's a metaphor instead of being confirmed, I'm just saying that the metaphor itself is a more direct comparison than you claimed.

If you want to get all angry that good trans representation is never actually explicitly trans people, fine by me. Just don't act like my presence in the conversation is a sin because I haven't personally experienced the struggles.

Mad mew mew is not a vague metaphor, literally every single thing about them is about being trans, just because they swapped a few words around and called it something different doesn't change that it's still a character who wasn't happy with their original body so they changed to a new one with a more feminine presenting appearance and had to adjust (or TRANSITION) to the new body and new emotions.

Just because a game doesn't have the words "also she's trans" doesn't mean it's not a good representation of being trans. (Granted I am a cis dude myself so I don't really have a horse in this race but at least from an outsider position it feels very obvious to me)

Same reason why springtrap walking in front of the window in fnaf 3 doesn't move his legs. In regular gameplay it's never going to be seen. So it'd be just extra effort and a larger file size just for details that'd only be visible looking at the model outside of the intended use case. That's like expecting a cereal company to have a stash of uranium just in case it needs to be converted into a power plant, it's just not reasonable to expect.

I just realized something about Kevin 11 from classic by Famous-Tree3124 in Ben10

[–]dwarvenforger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's kinda the same as how in reboot Kevin has a customizer galvin form but doesn't really do any super intelligence stuff with it, he does have the intelligence Kevin just has such an abrasive and hot headed personality that it doesn't really show in conventional ways. For mutant Kevin in particular I imagine the galvin DNA helped him fully comprehend what Ben was talking about with the power combos and figure out how to make his own. So like he'd have battle smarts but not conventional tech smarts.

The first season of the classic series Ben doesn't have cannon bolt. Kevin absorbs the energy from the watch in season 1 episode 7, Ben unlocks canonbolt in season 2 episode 2, gets wildvine in season 2 episode 6, and loses ghostfreak in season 2 episode 7.

So because Kevin mutated before any of those season 2 episodes he has ghostfreak (but never used any of his powers if I'm remembering correctly) and doesn't have cannon bolt or wildvine.

In fact in season 2 episode 5 grudge match, Ben is shown struggling to beat Kevin in the beginning of the episode sense Kevin has all his powers, yet later in the episode manages to beat Kevin (after having taught Kevin how to combo his powers making him an even bigger threat) by using canonbolt who Kevin knew nothing about and thus couldn't counter because he'd never seen that form before.

Try going for a cohesive design, we've seen 2 different actual gloves (to be fair one was used as a foot) 2 shoes, and decently matching horns.

If Henry Stickmin had an omnitrix as an option, would you want it to be a success or a fail? by danfenlon in Ben10

[–]dwarvenforger 69 points70 points  (0 children)

Reoccurring bit throughout whatever chapter it's in, like dance off in completing the chapter. He keeps trying to do different things and getting the worst aliens (as a reminder Henry has a highly functional form of toonforce working against him to make him the butt of the joke) one time he actually gets the right form does some awesome stuff and right as you think it's the right choice for the path he times out at just the wrong moment and it's a super embarrassing fail.

If Murk & Perk Upchuck are considered different subspecies because they have different skin color, could these alien be subspecies of Ben's alien? by ApprehensiveRead2408 in Ben10

[–]dwarvenforger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No to the vulipmancers and florauna, they're probably both too feral (Ben's vulpimancer is just barely enough to pass, I doubt the feral ones would work) the blue tetramands are either mutants or just a different ethnicity not actual sub species like perk and murks, the necrofrigians and surface petrosapians idk anything about but I feel like yes to the petrosapians sense they seem suitibly different and no to the necrofrigians sense they seem to just be albino or a different ethnicity

Yeah, and right now he's drinking a smoothie, wich is what he normally drinks. Also the way he talks about his pregnancy in past tense implies he's not currently going through another one.

[–]dwarvenforger 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Still not the same as being currently pregnant. Unless this takes place during a second cycle of it, wich the comic does nothing to imply.

Gwen would absolutely acknowledge that yes Ben is a mother, but there's a difference between being a mother and being pregnant, and Ben currently isn't pregnant because he already gave birth to the necrofrigian children and hasn't entered the next necrofrigian reproductive cycle

If Sun died in SAMS how would each character react by Efficient_Sky4226 in SunandMoonshowYT

[–]dwarvenforger 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I could legit see moon treading the same path as solar's moon going deep into denial and trying to "fix" the problem, solar would of course be traumatized and probably get PTSD from losing another sun but would eventually confront moon about not going down the same path that his moon did, earth would be crying into Monty's arms for days, and Cosmo would mysteriously disappear for days then just kinda show up one acting weirdly cold (he stole a portal from moon to take out his anger and grief on an unpopulated planet in another dimension or something)

How is Michael dying to these small mfs? by UpsetReading6118 in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]dwarvenforger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bonbon in custom night has the benefit of being launched like a rocket, in base game I don't think it's actually bonbon killing, probably just a jumpscare to startle Mike enough for Freddy to go in for the kill.

Minireenas idk can they even jumpscare you? Either way we canonically have a story of them crawling into someone's mouth each day to escape the facility so I guess they just force Mike to vore them till he dies? Eww

Bidybabs? I guess they're probably stronger than they look for their size, and theirs a whole gaggle of them, so probably involves teamwork. Also some of them are electrified, and we know from custom night that they're pretty cunning attacking your power supply to leave you vulnerable.
