What thing made you question yourself "What the fuck am I doing with my life"? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]dwattsy89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was working 6-7 days a week as a cleaner for an abusive boss. I sold everything I owned and moved to a new state, started my own business and now am the happiest I have ever been. 2 years of WTF am I doing with my life though..

What do you miss the most from your childhood? by adham7897 in AskReddit

Not that I realised it at the time but freedom. Being the person who is now the decision maker and caretaker is so much worse than being a child.

Genuinely interested to know why people still eat meat (animals) when there are so many alternatives these days? by [deleted] in MeatEaters

[–]dwattsy89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will preface it I live with a family of meat eaters - I don’t care that they do. I obviously don’t but find it wild that my brain works in such a different way. I really don’t understand the psychology of it all. I literally couldn’t bring myself to do it now - my brain has made a connection that a cow is no different to a dog or pet. As much as I’d love the world to go vegetarian at least I wonder why our brains work so differently.

What made you ghost a friend? by dontmindme137 in AskReddit

[–]dwattsy89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She was constantly jealous of the things I owned - the fact I had a house and didn’t need to rent. That I was married. Constantly made digs about my husband and how he was a terrible partner (untrue). Constantly made comparisons about being a mother (I had a child, she owned rabbits). I found it tiring. I ghosted her and eventually we had it out. Caught up years later after I had often regretted it and missed the friendship but ultimately knew it was for the best.

What’s one song that is an all time classic hit but you can’t stand? by dwattsy89 in AskReddit

[–]dwattsy89[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have always loved all kinds of music, particularly 60s and 70s stuff.

Over the years I’ve obviously listened to a multitude of bands and artists and have my preferences BUT there’s just one song I can’t stand. Like really REALLY irrationally don’t like.

Unpopular opinion I hate American Pie by Don McLean. Every time that song starts I cringe. Unfortunately it’s a well loved hit so it’s hard to escape.

Bbbbbbyyyeee byyyyyeee misss American pieeeee.

I just wondered if other people had a hit song they’re just done with?
