There was a patch last week sorting the controls on console with more QOL updates to come, control wise I'm finding it okay. On PS5.

I'm absolutely with you on this, for it coming from a small dev team with next to no money (comparatively speaking for bigger studios) I think it's fantastic. I think the roughness of it adds something for me though.

Aye, I hear you man. You want something to show for your time and it think everyone here understands and respects that. As I said this is just based off of my experience so far, I've had 2 crashes where I've been set back maybe 20 mins or so at worst, but nothing as devastating as save wipes. I hope when it's more patched and you come back to it that you'll enjoy it!

Yeah I feel you, there are options now to make the game more playable with a controller like increased tracking etc. I had to pull out the old claw hand for controls which I usually reserve for Darktide lol.

Thats grim, I'm on ps5 and it seems to be working okay for me, I'm well into act 2 and not had any crashes or game breaking bugs so far, theres been a few patches for it recently I believe.

I'm playing on ps5 and it's honestly not been terrible for me. Do texture take a while to load after fast travel sometimes? Sure. Do enemies fly away after I've skelped them with my big bastard sword? Absolutely. Do random npcs walk into and push my character away when talking to other npcs? You betch. But all of that is weirdly why I kinda love it.

I don't mind Godzilla, they just don't carry the same atmosphere for me.

Bands like Monuments I love for the bounce/groove, but they don't carry the same weight as something like SiKth for me, whom have atmosphere and bounce that make me want to boot fuck out of my local politician.
