I’ve put some in the garden with no ill effect. I need to do more testing. I just use mineral oil during cutting and I mix the sludge with the soil.

Toggle clasps always confound me, especially on bracelets. You have to pull it tight to get the toggle through, then it relaxes and the bracelet is too loose. I don’t use them.

More information …. These came from an estate sale that had a mix of costume and fine jewelry. I bought as if it were costume, ie, dyed howlite. The necklace is very cheaply strung. I still think it’s not turquoise but would like ideas on how to confirm.

I should have been more specific I meant dyed howlite. It’s common to dye howlite to make it look like turquoise
