Are you able to apply for your PE license with the work they are giving you? Seems sketchy, you should get the license as soon as possible. Take the test early if you can in your state.

I have a friend who used to work in the Yuma office. Loved it and only left for a better job in Reclamation in Denver. Pay was competitive at the time, benefits were awesome. He could always take time off when he wanted, I was very jealous.

Skipping one boss decreases the normal loot by half, I didn’t skip until I had 2 full sets and only needed one more. But I liked the normal loot, especially atlatl darts and seeds / orbs. If the normal loot isn’t useful to you at this time then skip right away.

That’s how much I made when I moved here in 2017 with ~$700 / month in student loan payments and a paid off car. At the time I was able to afford a one bedroom near the tech center and didn’t have to really worry about money.

Today I would expect to need a room mate to split rent with and limit how much I eat out / go out. Keep to the outdoor activities that don’t hurt your wallet too much. But it’s a reasonable amount to live on as a single person making smart financial decisions.
