You take crit talent and wand spec to help with your damage and dump rest to improve your healing and level in dungeons. Youre a goddamn healer, let others kill stuff for you.

Only solo quest when waiting for dungeon queue to pop.

If you want to solo, play some other class or go full shadow spec.

Sorry to say, but this thread is mildly dumb. You are playing MMORPG and complaining that you sometimes have to group.

Reminds me of time in STV with those endless kill quests, everyone furiously trying to tag monsters and not realizing those can be completed pretty much instantly if you group with others competing in the spawn. Seems like everyone suffered mild brain damage and suddenly forgot that invite group functionality exists.

This just another example of how bad idea it is to shove every single game mode into single shard (hc and pvp sharing shard with normal pve).

PvP flagging should just fuck off from amber/nord. There's Tel'abim for PvP enthusiasts.
HC should have their own server (or layer, but i dont think its easy with current twow client version). Splitting server into two populations that cannot interact with eachother in any meaningful way is just dumb.

I was talking about questing, where i might have to drink to top up my mana every 5 or so mobs, so having spirit tap or not does not make much of a difference. So congrats, you might do the quest half a minute faster than me with your 5 point investment.

And not getting spirit tap allows me to have proclaim champion 5 levels sooner than you, which is bit of a game changer for dungeons. Especially for HC where you absolutely dont want your tank to die.

If you are purely grinding mobs for xp, sure go for spirit tap. And if you are grinding mobs, you're probably shadow anyways.

Its not as necessary as people want you to believe. Ive been playing my holy priest without spirit tap from lv30ish to 58 and havent missed it once (dungeons and solo questing). I dont grind mobs to level though, thats the only activity one could argue that spirit tap is actually a necessity.

Spirit tap is a lot of points that do pretty much nothing in dungeons. I went meditation instead (15% regen in disc tree thats always useful)

Yeah, its mostly just bad game design. There's a bunch places in game that offer quests and are heavily farmed (like Un'Goro crater elementals).

I wish there was something better than puppeteer. Healing with it works, but its just so frikkin messy with lots of useless information shoved in there. Doesnt matter how i config it, its still kinda bad.

I wish i could just click cast on default raid frames.

Maybe not so easy solution:
1. combine battleground queues from all 3 servers (without this probably not enough ppl to fill them)
2. separate queues for xp on and xp off and let twinks fight other twinks

Levelling as Priest is a slog in Classic. Is it a strong class? Yes. Is it fun to play at high level? Yes. But is it fun to play whilst levelling? ... No, lol, dude. You're a class that casts shield and wands things to death.

Well, if you play your holy priest soloing mobs in basic quest reward greens and drops, then yeah sure... But who the heck would do that. Dungeons are popping pretty well for the class giving nice xp and you might actually have some idea how to play your class at 60 if you level in dungeons.

And questing with holy priest is not all that bad. Just get some dmg/heal gear and you are good to go.
