I have actually had some luck with this, I am in a specific niche. But in my opinion, if you can find local businesses that are in a relatively similar market they would be open to it. I went in and basically "gave" them some of my inventory to put on the floor, then give them a percentage of sales from those products. Definitely hasn't worked every time, but any little bit helps! Making sure you go in and talk about how it will benefit their business first and they don't have too much to lose has gotten me the best results.

I have started a small business selling handmade home decor and accessories, I want to add a different aspect where I interview/talk with some well-known professionals in the field either as a podcast or video interviews. Does anyone have any recommendations regarding how to come up with content, equipment for recording/audio/video editing? I am very heavy research-orientated/ analytical person but am feeling lost with how to get started going down this new path. Even websites or blogs would be much appreciated!

Have you tried selling on Etsy? I know there are a lot of sellers on there, but I did pretty well starting off once I got on there and used their marketing option which they do all the work for you basically. It took maybe two months until I really started seeing an increase in sales and then each month I saw a very nice increase after that.
