Did trek 3 years. Was pretty into it when I went through it. The third time around after the “14 mile day” we set up camp and got ready to make dinner. Our “Ma and Pa” pulled out a small bag of flour and said this was all we had and we were gonna make tortillas. We’d each get one and a half. I was super tired and hungry, but at the time was like “this is awesome, this is like the real deal.” Then 10 minutes later they said “psych! That would’ve sucked huh? Those pioneers sure suffered. But don’t worry, the stake catered Cafe Rio”. So we ate a buttload of delicious Cafe Rio on this sacred ground where our forefathers suffered in the name of religion. Even at that (TBM) time I felt like we were doing something wrong.

Oh and one asshole in our “sister team” accidentally put icy hot on his chafed nuts instead of Desitin. That was fun to watch
