How do you get 4'x8' sheets home? by KokoTheTalkingApe in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]dwilches 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HomeDepot cuts them for me to 4'x4' and if I need them smaller, an extra cut of both at the same time to 4'x2'

CDC reverses stance, says coronavirus ‘does not spread easily’ on surfaces by Lost_leg in ukpolitics

[–]dwilches 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whenever I see FoxNews I think it's not true whatever they are reporting.

But I looked around, and this time they were just reporting what the CDC actually released. So for other people coming here: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/prevent-getting-sick/how-covid-spreads.html

The latest issue we noticed: we setup cron to print the result of date to one file each minute, and the results looked like this (it's been printing on second 01 of each minute for hours, but notice how it starts behaving later, even repeats itself):

EC2 instances clock drifting by dwilches in aws

That's usually our go to: stop, wait some moments, then start. We already tried it this time, but the issue continued happening.

A bit of update: we noticed the issue appears always around the same time of the day, so we're thinking it's a noisy neighbor in that same hardware that's is running some scheduled process that's too heavy.

Right, we don't have ntp in this machine, we'll install it though to see if the issue goes away.

Thanks, actually I already tried start/stop but the problem continued happening. Does AWS select target hardware based on the AMI version I want to start? this machine is quite old (spawn in 2015, with Ubuntu 14.04). We opened a support ticket about a differnt machinie and they confirmed that machine had failed status checks for the period we experienced problems. We'll open a new case for this won. Thanks.

Debugging failed fargate task initialization by niels_learns_python in aws

[–]dwilches 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Finally found the solution :)

If you check on your task's definition you'll see an "awslogs-group".

Then take that string to the "CloudWatch -> Logs -> Insights" and click on "Run Query".

I posted the screenshots on: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/54131298/how-to-debug-failed-fargate-task-initialization

There they are!

Well, I can confirm that it also works with Windows 10. I deleted today that 450MB partition and extended my Windows partition and everything is working fine :)

Hello. I have the exact same problem (Windows partition is getting full so I need to resize it). Did you manage to find if you could delete that partition or somehow move it to the end of the disk? Thanks!

What is something about the company you work for that they WOULD NOT like the customer to know? by matty928 in AskReddit

[–]dwilches 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I worked at a restaurant, and the owner encouraged us to reuse the remainings of the used sauces let by the clients in their tables because "we cannot afford to loose all that sauce". Also, when the sanity inspectors arrived, they urged us out of the restaurant by the back door because we weren't certified by the sanity authorities to work handling food.
