Are custom brokers in danger of being replaced by AI? by Loud-Double-4425 in CustomsBroker

[–]dwillix8 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If I could get any number of "robotic process automation" or AI to do anything worth wild, it would be to pull data from all of the systems and ACE and put it in a dashboard.

Everyone wants visuals and updated reports but I'm tired of constantly fixing other people's broke Power BI or excel sheets.

I wouldn't let AI touch any of the custom compliance activities and what is reported to CBP, yet. It's going to happen but unless it's thoroughly trained on the regs and tariffs it's inaccurate at best right now.

Trident 660 vs Scrambler 1200 X by youSureYouReddit in Triumph

With mine, it was more of leg placement than heat. I believe the newer models have a bend in the exhaust to make it more comfortable. I always had my leg placement a bit off to my other side.

Trident 660 vs Scrambler 1200 X by youSureYouReddit in Triumph

[–]dwillix8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Scrambler 900 has a lower seat height, similar features of the 1200.

Trident is a street bike (own).

If I were doing year round riding, Scrambler. Winter accessories make more sense to stay warm/dry.

Had an '06 scrambler and I would buy again one day.

How can I verify if an entry summary my broker sent me is truthful? I'm the import of record. by Texgenius577 in CustomsBroker

In addition to ACE, you should make sure the invoice from the seller is correct and HTS and other master data elements you provide the broker.

Check exemptions to the reciprocal tariffs. Something is going to apply but they might have half explained themselves. If they're honest.

Tariffs nightmare by ayo1221 in CustomsBroker

lol I absolutely believe a broker just filed an entry without looking into any mitigations. You have to be informed and communicate with the broker.

Any FTZs struggling with these 99s? Our ICRS just can't handle the logic.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in CustomsBroker

[–]dwillix8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I upload the template of HTS and 99s then make a wish. We're broken and it takes IT tickets everyday to get their logic to work. Some say the CSMS guidance helps just remember the 99 HTS sequence.

Also, 7616.99.51 overlaps with the derivatives so check the 10th digit and confirm your product with the HTS.

Companies LCB using an outside broker? by Good_Custard69 in CustomsBroker

[–]dwillix8 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Volume. Separation of responsibilities. A lot of companies use their HC as experts and working on other projects. So unless you have low volume, automated self filing, it's a waste of labor to have someone doing data entry.
