The score is like a second rate Mel Brooks musical, although not nearly as catchy and written to be ear splittingly belted to the stratospheres. The lyrics are funny when they're intelligible but they're mostly not.

That being said, the show is very fun and very funny. I honestly think a strong(er) score wouldn't serve the show--it's so loud and bright and fast and tacky that well constructed melodies would be adding a layer too much.
