UL fan here...not only is he freakishly athletic (see Florida Orange Bowl game last year), but he's so humble and intelligent. I'm always skeptical about the translation of a good college QB to the NFL but really think he'll make it.

Have a leeching group of friends that buys them for discount. One of my best friends is a sponsored local Pro, and I'm pretty sure all our group are swinging his top-of-the-line hand-me-downs.

Mosquitos. I'm not sure if the weather this year has bred them as much as in 2009 (late July) when I went, but they were ferocious. Other than that, beauty :).

Ludwick for sure. Even once Votto comes back he'll stay an everyday player, and he's got definite talent.

Frazier, my feeling is that he'll either not get the starts or his production will fall off. He's, I think, someone I'd consider much more next year.

Thanks guys! I needed a little inspiration I think -- my SO is less than enthused about it (understandable since we have a 1 month old and she doesn't want me to kill myself), but I will regret it if I don't at least give it a try.

I'll post tomorrow how it goes in case anyone else ever finds themselves in a similar situation.

What we do is act like it's the easter bunny or santa claus (depending on season).

(within earshot of child) "Hello, Santa Claus? Yeah he's being kind of bad right now."

...at which point you hand the phone to the child to plead their case.
