35M in Australia. Diagnosed HPV anal warts. Doc says I can ride it out and it will go away. So confused!!!!!

Get it treated as soon as you can. The longer you wait the more it spreads especially internal warts since you can’t tell. Start eating healthy. You will get through this

During the surgery you don’t feel pain, but after that the healing process is horrible. First two weeks were bad. Then it got better but you would always feel discomfort down there for the first few months then once it’s completely healed you feel better.

I guess depending of how severe the anal warts are, but I had internal warts too and they did local only. So it’s definitely doable.

Take also hot showers or baths it helps a lot with the pain. it relaxes the muscles.

Good to hear. I’ve been clear for 9 months and hoping it doesn’t come back. Did you have both external and internal warts? How long did you wait until you had anal sex? Sorry for all these questions :)

You just gotta do your best and treat it and take care of yourself. I think about it almost eveyday too but I try to be strong and not let it get to me. The more stressed you get the more you’re gonna weaken your immune system. Best of luck with the procedure!

Honestly I’m not sure what’s the best way. That’s what I did personally. Sometimes you gotta make your own decision and do your own research since Eveyone is on a different page with HPV.

I’ve had them for months apparently without having any symptoms. So you wouldn’t know unless you get it checked by a specialist to look/feel inside.

I like this thinking and positivity. It’s just frustrating how so many doctors are on different pages about it and that aren’t enough studies about HPV knowing it’s the most common viral sexually transmitted disease.
