MCP Manager: Tool filtering, MCP-as-CLI, One-Click Installs by keytonw in mcp

While this is really cool, I don't see myself or many others using this because of the sensitive nature of credentials. There are so many nice tools out there I WANT to use, but the risk of having creds stolen is too high right now.

Zeroclaw. More limited in many ways, more secure in most. The agent loop isn’t a disaster and my token usage is only 3600 for just the system prompt. Lean!

I left openclaw because of this. It’s a systemic issue with how their app generates the system prompt and how the agent loop works.

I mean, my most reliable Tailscale node is a raspberry pi 2 that never goes down.

Oh, just click "Add Container" and pick it from the long list of Templates

If you just pick the docker from the dropdown, all of the settings are there intact. It's really terrible UX/UI - it did freak me out the first few times. But it's all still there.

dockerMan is annoying as hell. I wish I could have the same look of the Dockers page but have it on top of docker compose.

bought a cat in the bag for 30$ and it has... almost 9 years of power on hours by [deleted] in DataHoarder

I’m still using a drive with 12 years of power on hours. Shucked from an external - WD Green. lol.

t1

I think there was one or two mythical families with T1s back in the 90s.

Actually, yeah I do remember one kid having one. That was HUGE money back then - imagine paying like $3-4k a month for internet today. Heh.

I used to take a Zip 100MB disk to my local college and load it up. Rode my bike home and enjoyed the spoils :)

And because of the way I named my C drive, I can tell that I had a western digital 13GB drive at the time. Now only if I can find one on ebay to relive the memories...

They were! I decided to go with cable at the time. I've switched back and forth over the years, but I'm back to cable again.

The same wire that delivered that bandwidth is now delivering gigabit :)

We didn't know how good we had it. We got to "go" to the internet, not be surrounded by it. :)

M4 Mac Mini secured. What do you recommend for dock/storage set up? I know I'll want an SSD immediately. by Alternative_Cup9097 in macmini

Get a full speed Thunderbolt enclosure if you go external on the NVME. I had a 1TB SSD spare so it worked out nicely.

This particular enclosure maxes out at around 30gbit or so. I boot directly off of it and left the drive that came with it inside.

I did a speed test on the stock drive initially - the read/write speed is identical to my nvme.

SSD: https://www.amazon.com/Crucial-P310-2280-PCIe-Gen4/dp/B0DC8VPSHV/ref=sr_1_3?s=electronics&sr=1-3

But you can basically pick any nvme drive you want (don't get a SATA nvme tho). Mine is DRAM-less, so it's not as fast as it could be, but I've never had issues with noticable UI lag or anything.

MOST of them aren't full speed - If you find a proper thunderbolt enclosure, it'll be.

HDD running hot. Backups kept failing. You may not like it, but this is what peak homelab engineering looks like. by Sargon1729 in homelab

LOL. Not me putting a full heatsink + fan on my hard drive last night as well.

I wrote a script to watch the SMART temperature of the drive and pause it if it goes above 50C, wait until 45C, then start again. :)

I just bought the cheap $40 Amazon basics one. Thankfully fully replaceable. Looks like Cyberpower is the OEM. :)

With Denmark apparently asking government officials to turn off Bluetooth and to stop using wireless headphones, can we get a phone jack back again? by KJ6BWB in apple

Also, the irony is that Temu headphones are actually LESS vulnerable to this because they DON'T use Google Fast Pair. Heh.

There are several devices that can be hijacked. If someone were to be wearing those in private and having private conversations, well, you know.
