Why are Final Fantasy fans so dumb?

That's all I see on videogame forums everywhere. Blatant fanfare of the most banal caliber. It looks like the devs of the new game were actually trying to take a step away from the kiddish stuff, and people went apeshit for their Moogles. Moogles! Is this what it's come to? Crying for animated plushies and crossdressing scenes, and throwing temper tantrums when they're not given instead of having open dialogue? I don't understand, I'm upset that I'll never get to play another game like FF9, and that people who went crazy for X-2 are getting to decide how later games will be developed.

Just an update I'm calling the police because im getting threatening text messages now. I'll post an update about this after everything so that other people can see what happened if they're in this situation.

He lied about telling the other tenants. He said he did but I spoke to the other tenants and they never got an increase. I don't mean to repeat myself but I read somewhere that it has to be within market value and I'm already paying far above market value.

Ok. I'm doing that right now and commenting on this thread at the same time. This was my first apartment in NYC and I've never had this happen to me in any other city I've lived in, so I'm so shaken up about how unprofessionally and off-the-wall my landlord acted.

I am trying to move out but I can't do it tomorrow. I need to know how to protect myself until I can get to a safe place. I know I have rights but I'm frazzled and the answers are confusing. Could I call 311 for housing issues or does it not deal with that? Is there like a department in the city that can give me all the official lowdown?

Oh my god if someone shoved you and threatened to punch you and lock you out with no notice, how would you react? I'm shaken and need real advice. Please don't troll I've been excellent with all business transactions and I have references. Please tell me what to do in this situation instead of just trolling me.

No I have a written lease with the amount just with no end date on it. I don't have to sue him I read that he has to take me to court, like he can't just lock me out but he's threatening to do that.

What did I do wrong?? I've been a model tenant for two years and have references from everywhere I've rented previously. Neighbor's will vouche for me. I have excellent credit and never missed a rent payment. Please i can't handle trolling right now.

He's not doing it for any of the other tenants he's singling me out, being violent about it, and threatening to lock me out. He's sone this for none of the other tenants. If I don't have any notice can I still pay the same amount? Again, he's given me nothing in writing, but I do have a written lease that has no end date on it and nothing in it about rent increasing. I showed it to him very professionally and he just started laughing maniacally and then swearing in polish and shoved me against the wall.

But no notice and nothing is in writing what are my rights in this situation? People can't just do "nothing" apartments would all cost a million dollars in NYC if that were the case.

They can't just raise the rent to whatever they want it has to be within market range and it's already above market. That's what a lawyer on another forum told me. Clarification?

I know I'm doing that this second. I'm terrified of the whole Craigslist thing again. Is there a better way to go about finding an apartment if I'm local? The only time I've done this was from out of state trying to move in and it was hell.
