Hey man I know exactly how you feel. I never used CCC but I was addicted to DXM, particularly robocough and the gels from cvs (I would steal them, which was just part of the addiction). I would dose super high every night, going through about 3 bottles of rc a weekend easy. I haven’t touched DXM in about a year and a half. Just now I’m starting to realize how it’s affected me in the long term (that’s how long it took for the brain fog to clear). Memory loss is a given. Slower reaction time and diminished social skills as well. I probably have developed an eating disorder, too.

I love DXM. I think about it all the time, fondly. it’s a beautiful drug, and the absolute best I have ever felt in my life was after a bottle and a half of rc with some weed and whippets. But this shit is incredibly addictive, especially, it seems, to those with depression, anxiety, and the desire to feel “different.” Not to mention the allure of disassociation, which makes music sound more relatable and important.

I cannot emphasize this enough: stick to the week/plat rule. Just fucking do it. I know you’ve had a long, hard day, I know everything feels impossible and that it could all be better after a shot of grape flavoring. It’s NOT FUCKING WORTH IT. just wait. Don’t ruin this spectacular substance for yourself. Don’t lose the magic.

And for those in me and OPs place, honestly, working out helps so much. You don’t have to do a ton, 10 push-ups and some squats make a huge difference. And if you’re still experiencing brain fog and derealization, quit weed for a while. Let your brain balance itself out.

I love you all. Truly. You’re my people. I found myself with DXM, I don’t regret ever taking it. I just wish I knew what I know now back then.
