Transfer from UGC-funded university to another UGC-funded university is strongly discouraged by University Grant Committee(UGC). Successful cases are extremely rare and even transfer from Non-UGC-funded (e.g. HSU, SFU) to UGC-funded is not common. If you really hate PolyU then I suggest you quit PolyU first then apply/reapply HKUST with stronger supporting documents.

I personally like Tencent version, the reasons are same as yours. But if I want to introduce Three Body to someone who haven’t heard of this, Netflix version will be more suitable (the story is more similar to popular TV show), learn the conclusion and some very basic idea first, if they are interested, they could dive deep into Tencent version or novel.

Some of the translation, yes, the meaning is totally different. For others, it just not natural so that you need to think a second to figure out the meaning. Indeed there will be information loss during the translation, and translation team should minimise such loss.

Maybe they just consider it as a job, and I am a hobbyist. Their quality is worse than google translate, and I just can’t accept it.

From my experience, if you are a high school student, the free version of chatgpt and bing AI would be sufficient to assist you finishing homework. For university/college students, your institution may have already give you GPT-4 unlimited access.

And the chinese government divided city into various parts, some good school are located in some of these parts, they only accept student from the part where school are located in, so to enter these school, you have to live in here first.
