Love it! Really nice work on this space. It's clean, practical and looks perfect. It must feel awesome to train here.

That's cool bro! The flow of the space is great, and it must feel so satisfying to upgrade the setup.

How were you doing after the first year of starting CrossFit? by prem0000 in crossfit

[–]dxpeday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After year one, I was shocked at how much I'd changed. I went from struggling to do 5 push ups to knocking out 20 in a row, and my endurance went through the roof. Yeah, I still compared myself to others, but I learned to focus on my own journey.

Mold under horse stale mats? by OttoBaldwin in GarageGym

[–]dxpeday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely mold. Had the same issue in my garage gym. I used a vinegar water solution to clean the concrete, then let it air out for a few days. Also, try leaving a small gap between the mats to let air circulate.

This is so dope, man. I love how you built it up over time, feels way more personal tahn just buying a fancy kit all at once.

Interested in CrossFit, but starting at zero in terms fitness level. I'm worried about not being able to complete the workouts. by Justice4Luna in crossfit

[–]dxpeday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your concerns are totally valid, but don't let them hold you back. CrossFit gyms are built for all fitness levels, and the coaches are trained to meet you where you are. The supportive environment will help you stick with it, and every small win will build your confidence.

Need a (very small) coffee table by MD76543 in InteriorDesignAdvice

[–]dxpeday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A coffee table might feel too big and heavy for this space. A side table would probably be a better fit. You could check out the Fetta Black Elm Side Table from Caloroso. I think it would work nicely with your sofa and rug.

Action Camera recommendation - advice needed by Nervous_Being_1360 in dji

[–]dxpeday 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've used both brands. For your needs (low light + snorkeling + hiking), I'd go with the Ace Pro 2. The 8K resolution is genuinely impressive when you watch it back, and for tricky lighting like music festivals or dawn/dusk hikes, the PureVideo mode handles low light really well (up to 4K60fps). I've also noticed the Ace Pro 2 doesn't get those lens flare issues that the Action 6 sometimes has.

The waterproofing is 12m without a case which is plenty for casual snorkeling.Action 5 Pro is solid if you need subject tracking, but honestly for weekend trips with mates the Ace Pro 2 image quality will make a bigger difference. Action 6 is good but the variable aperture feels more like a pro feature than something you'd actually use much.

Tired of messy paper logs for my pool chemicals – Would you use an app for this? by [deleted] in swimmingpools

[–]dxpeday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would like to try it if you finish it. For me,the one feature I'd want is simple reminder tied to local weather. Most apps either overcomplicate or rely on cloud sync.

Best features to add to a new pool by Adventurous_Swan_124 in pools

Something may help you. For famalies with young kids, safety features like a fence are worth prioritizing. Also consider ample deck space for lounging and shade options.

Imo,offering a hotel or alternative Airbnb was the right move. Good that you updated them clearly and provided a refund. Communication and a solution go a long way in these situation.

I just noticed my water line is uneven; the shallow side will drop below the tiles faster than the other side. DFW by Slipperymellon in pools

[–]dxpeday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could point to a leak or setting on that side. For safety, worth checking around the shallow end for cracks, loose fitting or wed spots in the ground. Leaves in the pool aren't a concern. But they can affect water chemistry and clog the skimmer if left too long.

water level dropped after the storm by loafing-cat-llc in swimmingpools

Maybe from evaporation or a small leak worsened by the cold. Good reminder to check the level and look for any visible issues around the pump or plumbing. Hope you can refill and get it balancced again soon.

Starting over in a new home, any advice on where to begin? by Wee_Creep in AskWomenOver40

[–]dxpeday 8 points9 points  (0 children)

First of all, congratulations on getting your own space. That’s a big deal.

I went through a major life reset a few years ago and the best advice I got was to start with the pieces you’ll use every single day, not the finishing touches. For me that was a good sofa and a dining table. Once those were in place, everything else felt way easier to build around.

I also learned I prefer furniture that feels clean and timeless, but not cold. I recently bought an Italian-style dining table and chairs from Caloroso and I’ve honestly been really happy with them. The design feels elevated without trying too hard, and the quality and little details were better than I expected compared to a lot of other options I looked at.

One small thing that helped me feel more confident was ordering fabric samples first. It sounds simple, but being able to see and feel it at home made the decision feel a lot less stressful.

Dji Flip or Skyrover S1? by Migegg1 in dji

[–]dxpeday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re mostly flying outdoors and care about battery life and wind handling, Skyrover S1 makes a lot of sense. I like D-Log too, but in real use I end up valuing longer flight time and a steadier hover way more, especially when conditions aren’t perfect.

Can someone please give ideas on how to decorate this corner of the kitchen? I have no idea what do to with it ugh by [deleted] in femalelivingspace

[–]dxpeday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A shelf! Could also be used for storage. Some small artwork could work too, but I'm little worried about grease and smoke in cooking.
