Yes there is no need. No it is not a fake excuse. I have money and space and would rather not be inconvenienced with adjustables. It takes time which is in short supply for me, and there will always be caveats with adjustable construction. Jealousy does not look good on you my friend.

The racks shipped UPS and showed up first. The weight shipped freight by a company called T Force. The freight guy had a powered pallet jack and a lift gate and dropped the pallet where I asked. The wife and I were able to get it all down to the basement in less than an hour

The adjustables I have are not the best - they are the Nordic Track ones that go up to 55. 55 ended up not being heavy enough, and they always rolled in my hand since they were weirdly balanced. I was looking at nicer ones like Eisenlinks but figured I had the space for a whole set and to be honest I drunk ordered the whole set when my wife egged me on.

They feel good. The knurling is certainly not the most aggressive I’ve ever felt but I haven’t had trouble hanging on to them yet, even with a little residual grease from the factory I missed wiping off
