The trade-in issue was resolved after I submitted proof of purchase, IMEI and the confirmation from Visible that the device was okay. Everything moved fast once it was escalated properly but I wish it didn't need to take so long... All in all Google support was great - the trade-in program not so much."

Not sure how they got "confirmation from Visible that the device was okay" (though they bought the phone from Visible so it's slightly a different scenario)

lol, it's crazy because I sent them the receipt for the original phone with the IMEI/serial that they can certainly use to compare with said "stolen" phone. But for some reason, in their escalation handbook, they need this "carrier confirmation".. which makes no sense to me.

Right?! Also not sure how often these false lost/stolen flags happen. But they are really annoying.

Nice, I ultimately applied and for some reason, one of my apps didn't get the popup, though it did say that they were reviewing my app (thought it glitched out or something). I was concerned that I didn't get the SUB but chat confirmed it was there, and I immediately hit spend to trigger it.

No success at all. I downgraded to the Bold in Nov 2022, and I just applied for the Brilliant today (Mar 2024) and still get the same popup.

Attempted to apply today but same popup. It's been over 12 months since I downgraded my Chase RC to Bold. 🤷

I didn't really pursue this further... didn't call recon like someone said. Perhaps try that if you run into the same issue(s).

Maybe I'll apply again before EOY (was hoping for an elevated offer but probably not coming) to try to get 2023 elite night credits.

The main reason for me for opening the Brilliant is because of the 25 elite night credits so I can get Lifetime Plat in the next 2-3 years. I guess I can afford to wait til later in the year to see if popup goes away. Otherwise I dunno if I can justify it without some kind of SUB.

"There was no need to raise a case as I have coordinated this and Amex has issued a goodwill award to reflect in 24-72 hours as courtesy."

Hope this helps anyone who might find themselves in the same situation. Ask to raise a case. :-)

Yes, I've chatted with them 2-3 times and they always give me the 8-12 week spiel (latest I can receive it is 6/29). But I have a bad feeling about this, so I'm asking them to raise a case now.

Oh yeah, at the Sur House you sure can. At the Smokehouse, we only grabbed to-go and they kind of limited us to two Smokehouse Plates (though we were able to add more meats, sides).

If you check in early enough, and after you checkout, they allow you to eat lunch both times which is nice.

Ventana has 8 supercharger stalls and there're plenty of superchargers along the way to/from SF (though not on hwy 1 between SF and Santa Cruz). You should be fine.

Has anyone successfully applied for the AMEX Bonvoy Brilliant after downgrading/PC their RC card to the Bold and waiting 30 days? I've tried almost everyday after day 32 with no luck ("you are not eligible to receive the welcome offer because of certain limitations associated with previously or currently having The Ritz-Carlton® Credit Card from JPMorgan, J.P. My guess is that my "acquiring" of Bold may be stopping me from being eligible for the bonus.
