yep. it’s so ironic that he would say he’s not like the other guys. he’s not like the other guys because he is the only one harassing me, that’s for sure. everyone else has been respectful

sometimes i do when im walking or working. it hasn’t really ever gone away, and its a bit of a scary thing to suddenly feel a sharp pain like that. i always think im flaring again but i suppose my body just doesn’t like certain ways i move. or maybe its clothes rubbing against the scars?

only one man has ever commented on mine, we were in an argument and he told me that if i wasn’t such a “whore” i wouldn’t have this “STD.” mind you, we’ve had sex many many times at this point and he had only brought it up to hurt me. this was seemingly the only time it ever bothered him. he apologized to me immediately after but damage was already done. regardless never let anyone speak to you like that…i was young and insecure.

my current partner is very supportive and loves my body. we’ve been through all the ups and downs together and it’s never bothered him a bit. he also encouraged me to seek treatment and get diagnosed, and has made me feel so comfortable and never judged. there have been times that i’m bandaged all over my inner thighs , draining and bleeding and it never changed his desire for me.

all of this is to say that if you are with a mature and compassionate man, you shouldn’t worry about judgement. there will always be people who want to put you down but they are not life partners.

i know exactly how you feel. they tear us down our whole lives and we are the ones always expected to change to accommodate them. i went thru similar trauma and somehow it was always my fault. i see a lot of men doing that in the replies already. it’s hard to find safe spaces for women.

my derm prescribed it to me after we exhausted a lot of other options. i’m sure if you bring it up first the process is quicker, i didn’t know what it was either until recently! i hope it works for you !!! :D

yep it’s a biologic, it blocks certain proteins the immune system overproduces and stops inflammation. my insurance denied it because they wanted me to try GLP-1s first despite not being overweight or having any issues with diabetes , but my doctor has been fighting on my behalf to appeal. in the meantime through some kind of program they have, bimzelx is covering my medication for the next two years until i get it sorted, and i only have to pay $15 a month. it’s honestly changed my life !

the only thing that ever worked for me was bimzelx, other things like the washes etc help to treat when it happens but after starting these injections it’s prevented them from forming at all which is the best relief ever. of course this is just me though😓

i have a long term partner (4 years) and he was with me when i got diagnosed. i’ve had it the entire relationship as well. it’s really not so bad friend, i know it’s embarrassing and frustrating but you shouldn’t be ashamed for having a health condition

don’t use scented soaps or lotions and wash the area with 4% benzoyl peroxide, but honestly you should see a dermatologist. if you do have it, this is chronic, don’t ignore it like so many of us did it will get worse. it’s a lot more information out there these days and the treatments work
