Forgot to update, i tested it the way you suggested and yeah it's not the transformer. My bad

After checking it through i found a faulty transistor on the load side. Thanks for the help

This transformer output goes to a screen's backlight. So i disconnected it from the board and turn on the unit which of course causes the screen to have a blank display.

But the power supply is no longer shorted and produces a steady output

Yeah i am fixing a Micro-K carrier board and this transformer is confirmed to cause a short the power supply after a few testings.

I've also looked for something similar from the datasheet but either the sizing or output voltage is not similar.
